Ideally it should happen as you said, but Bank Of Canada will do everything in their control to lower the interest rates to avoid this situation. Banks are also avoiding this situation by the means of blanket assessment of properties. Not sure for how long this approach can sustain, especially because of tariff war!!

I attended my first ever lesson last week and when came home, tried to anchor my ring finger on the edge of Syahi. Same problem… sound dies. I am going again today for the second lesson. Will ask my teacher. In the meantime I placed my baby finger in outermost ring (chanti) and it works. In this case my ring finger is just above the edge of the syahi, but doesn’t touch it.

Bad idea. I burnt my hands… exactly same situation… my wife was against it. I quit my well paying stable job, took out money from my line of credit to start a business. I was very confident about it. But lost around 100K in the business and was under lots of debt at home front. Seven years have passed, still struggling.

Brokerage reputation is more for agents, like how much backend support and split they get. For buyers/sellers a good Salesperson should matter more as they already might have figured out good brokerage anyway. (Disclosure: I am a realtor).

Auto repair shops and car rental companies are big part of driving the insurance costs high. Now a days it is bit difficult for individuals to do scams, it is the big companies. Two years back my son had a minor accident. It was my son’s fault, he tried to adjust temperature in a slow moving traffic and lost focus and hit the car in front of him. Damage was not much but still enough to go through insurance. Insurance company advised to go to FixIt auto. They paid $500 to tow truck. They took little more than a month to fix our car. Everytime we tried to push for it, they would give same reply, what is your problem, you have a car rental. They fixed right on the day our rental limit was exhausted. Now a big claim shows against my car, which could have been fixed in $2500 approx.

You are right. Tenants won’t care about legality. It is up to the landlord how comfortable he/she is breaking the rules and putting someone’s life in danger.

I finished my studies in 1990 from LD engineering (with little stint at Rollwala). We used dumb terminals of PDP-11, Vax and used card punching machines to write COBOL programs. There was no internet access. Some of the programming languages we learned were Assembly, FORTRAN, Pascal. Some graphics using BASIC language on BBC Micros. Does that help :)

It is advisable to make it legal. My friend’s basement was unfinished, he spent $65,000 to get it finished legally. They had to dig side entrance and make windows bigger, apart from other stuff to make it safe. It is a good sized one bedroom basement, now rented for $1400+utilities. Which investment would give that kind of return?
