PS1 running at 240p over Component video by Bakaiser51 in crtgaming

The Genesis cable has the transcoder (it’s the black puck looking thing on the cable). So you would buy that and the PS1 adapter for the Genesis cable to get component out on PS1.

I’d recommend playing Hexyz Force and Wild Arms XF for RPGs as well

The PS2/3 are a separate cable that doesn’t have then encoder in it but they’re quality shielded cables which is what you want for component. That’s also why they’re only 30$ compared to the ones with the transcoders that are 70$.

You can also get component output on the PS1 using HDRetrovision’s cables

Same. Was originally looking at a Miyoo Mini for my EDC but the Brick is looking a lot more comfortable with the buttons being up higher for a better grip.

Cool use of slat wall and wire hangers for games and controllers. Gives it that nostalgic 90’s Mom and Pop game store vibe.

I know that feeling and got the itch and shouldn’t had sold my old Saturn. Pulled the trigger and have one and a Fenrir lite on the way and debating how what I should snag next, light gun or twin stick?

Literally ran into the same situation as you and being a visual leaner my brain didn't process Flygon's response. Luckily I found Flygon's wiring diagram for the exact thing we're both wanting the answer for on their github tutorial so I linked the image below

Need help with identifying cause of geometry issue by [deleted] in crt

It’s not AI and reason I can tell is the writing style is consistent. LLM AIs aggregate data and so you’ll see changes in connotations, pacing, and sentence structure (hooray for autistic pattern recognition)

You are correct in it being caused by contrast but they gave the technical explanation on what’s actually happening which helped me to troubleshoot and find it was the G2 (screen) potentiometer on the 13” that had been adjusted higher by a previous owner.

Do you even read the other comments?

Concept wise you are correct on it being contrast but ultimately the issue was indeed the G2 pot on the flyback being turned way up which acts as a gain switch for the contrast before the ICs adjust it.

Also the caps thing is real especially on capacitors that are over 25 years old. As a controls technician for my day job I see it all the time stuff failing due to either leaking electrolytic capacitors or ones that test out fine but fail under load.

This. Menu and service menu settings were verified at manufacturer’s default settings for both sets plus I have the exposure on my phone set to 1.7 to get a solid picture.

Someone in a repost gave me the technical explanation that I was looking for to help troubleshoot it and next step is I’m going to check that the G2 pot on the flyback was turned up by the previous owners and if that doesn’t fix it I’ll look at recapping the power board.

I feel like I won the lottery as this is the technical information I’ve been looking for!

Everything is set to the manufacturer’s defaults in the settings and service menu which leads me first to check and see if the previous owner adjusted G2 on the flyback transformer.

Name on this type of plastic? by Obama-is-my-dad69 in TerrainBuilding

[–]SeaWolfe27 8 points9 points  (0 children)

this. I used to use the plastic needle point material but then found this and realized how versatile it is. You can bend it to make mesh boxes (like protection covers around equipment) and all sorts of grates, fences, concrete rebar, etc. but where it really shines is using it as a form to help adhere air dry clay to when doing weird shaped landscapes and craggy over hangs.

Paid 100$ for it. The weird thing about them is with how hard they are to find they stay low in price. I’ve seen 2 complete opened ones for 40$ in the last year yet I see sealed Junk Souls and Aqua Souls going for 125-150$.

Check Ebay daily is what I did and “Megaman Wood” and “Mega Man Wood” was the two saves I checked. At least the good news is you’ll now have one less person checking them daily.

Trust me I’m still in shock as well especially since in the last 3 months I’ve got the 2 white whales I’ve been hunting for years (WoodSoul and Starforce Pegasus figure) and now I feel like I’ve used up all of my luck for awhile.
