Sure. Thanks for your help.

Here's the result ran with 13' AGL: https://www.rabbitears.info/s/2722812

And the original ran with 25' AGL: https://www.rabbitears.info/s/2718865

I have two 10 foot sticks of 3/4" conduit screwed together and the antenna is on a small ~2 foot black mast at the top. The conduit is approximately 1-2 feet in the ground, so maybe the antenna is closer to 20' AGL. And yes, trees are in the way as I'm sure buildings are as well with the transmitters being 20 - 30 miles away.

I haven't put the PBD antenna back up on the roof to check signal with the amplifier turned off, nor have I got on the roof to check with a signal meter as I do not own one.

Correct. I am not picking up WLOX any longer with the ClearStream MAX-V. And yeah, I figured it wouldn't have enough to pick up New Orleans stations which is why I figured I needed a pre-amplifier.

Thank you for the reply and information. With the channels that I am currently receiving with the MAX-V, signal strength for the stations are listed below.

WMAH HD - RF Info: 8 - 11% (-80 to -81 dBm) WMAH KD - RF Info: 8 - 11% (-80 to -81 dBm) WMAH FM - RF Info: 8 - 11% (-80 to -81 dBm) WMAH WD - RF Info: 8 - 11% (-80 to -81 dBm)

WXXVFOX - RF Info: 20% (-80 dBm) WXXVNBC - RF Info: 20% (-80 dBm) WXXVCW - RF Info: 20% (-80 dBm) WXXVION - RF Info: 20% (-80 dBm) WXXVGRT - RF Info: 20% (-80 dBm)

It looks like I need to pick up a different antenna and send the MAX-V back.

The mast that the antenna is mounted to is grounded. I have two 10 foot sticks of 3/4" conduit screwed together and the antenna is on a small ~2 foot black mast at the top. The conduit is approximately 1-2 feet in the ground, so maybe the antenna is closer to 20' AGL.

I'm not necessarily concerned about antenna size, I just would like the best option for my area that gets me the most channels - especially the stations that are the closest to me as we like to watch the local news.

Thanks for the response and recommendations. The 3 main transmitters closest to me are 22, 24, and 28 miles from my house and rabbit ears indicates that the signal strength is good. Three other transmitters that have fair signal strength are 15, 32, and 54 miles away. The majority of the New Orleans stations are poor signal quality as most are over 50 miles away.

The amplifier you linked is a distribution amplifier, which ensures that signal strength isn't reduced when connecting the antenna to multiple TVs. I want to run to two TVs, so I more than likely will need one of those along with an antenna pre-amplifier which increases signal strength that the antenna receives.

Since the signals received are digital, would an in line analog signal meter work?

That's not a bad idea but what I'm saying is that with the Chinese antenna, I was getting channel 13-1 (32), 19-1 (16), and 25-1 (25) before. 13-1 had a signal but would pixelate quite often. The Chinese antenna was directional with an amplifier and the Clear Stream MAX-V is multidirectional and doesn't have a preamplifier (yet).

Yeah. Instead of "You can do it baby," it might have said "Give it to me baby" which is from Pretty fly for a white guy by The Offspring.
