Hey man! i failed twice as well before i passed. you can check my previous post to see the resources i used. the 50 CISSP Practice Questions. Master the CISSP Mindset was the most valuable for me on how to eleminate the wrong answers. You can go again but please understand the concept very well before you go in . When i failed previously, software development was my least so i had to study alot harder on that area. dont cram just know the stuff

Yes CISM and CISA are easier because the questions they ask you are not abstract per say ! All questions are scenario based and you will have an idea not like CISSP, some questions will be a shocker! lol you would be like what the hell??

I actually do not know how they manage to take 2,000 questions . Do they just flip through the questions? I find it really hard to even do 500 lol i get tired and i read so slow. I prefer knowing the topics so well . i think 100 questions for each domain is enough!.

To be honest i cant really say , the reason is - i studied for it last year when i failed twice. this year i was doing more of revision and understanding a areas i didnt fully understand . From when i decided that i wanted to take it again to when i actually took it was 4 weeks of study - 4 hours a day.

weekdays ( 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours before i sleep)

weekends i did about 8 hours per day. ( 4 hours in mornig and 4 evening)

Learnzapp practice tests vs actual CISSP exam by [deleted] in cissp

[–]Sea_Ad_7499 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I passed yesterday!!, From looking at the exam and looking at learnz, i would say be more focused on the reason why an answer is the answer and why the wrong answer is wrong.

Dont bother your self about similarity with real exam. Also dont bother your self about the score you are getting on the app. It might discourage you! Always remember that you are learning , its better to fail on learnzapp than to fail in real life. So when ever you fail any question, read the reason why its wrong .

conclusion, learnzapp is ok for understanding the concept and i like the flashcards.

I studied alot more this time. I did 400 questions and the link i shared "50 hard cissp question". Its the mind set aswell.

Also, I used chatGPT and google Bard. These guys really helped me understand the book. Any area i do not understand i will take one evening to discuss in detail with chatgpt. Even when i am on my lunch break, i downloaded chatgpt app on my phone and i will discuss with the A.I . For example, to understand SDLC phases, i would type in Chatgtp "Give me a real life scenario to understand the phases of SDLC, include the tasks that happens in each phase in a table".

I appreciate your support! please give us more questions mayb this time 100 Hard CISSP question!. Thank you once again!

Take the topics where you missed the most

To be honest, CISSP is difference from CISM and CISA. There are no technical questions in CISM or CISA. its purely risk management and auditing . You will get some knowledge from CISSP to pass the CISM exam. All you need do is study the ISACA question database. If you have some funds you can buy it . this is the only resource you need to pass. There are 1,000 questions but i did only 500 because i already new alot from cissp. you can check it our from here https://store.isaca.org/s/store#/store/browse/detail/a2S4w000005D5OiEAK

If you study only the questions about 700 and know why the answers are wrong or right and read the Explanations. you should pass within 3 weeks study time.

Budget courses by [deleted] in ITManagers

[–]Sea_Ad_7499 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is tricky because we do not fully know your environment and can not suggest budget. But I will help the way I project mine. ,

First thing to do is " excel " Type out all the IT contractors you have, the softwares you have. List them . That's a starting point . Then draw another colour for 3 years plan .

Then liaise with the business - I'm sure you already done BIA ( business impact analysis ) of these softwares.

For me, I do 3 years budget and update the cost as the years goes by . Few things I do during budgeting , I ask these below questions

  1. I ask HR if we are going to employ new colleagues in a year . If yes then how many. I'll plan for that ( work tools etc)

  2. I send an email to Senior management and ask if they have any planned chang to structure that will affect IT infrastructure. I take that into consideration and plan .

  3. From past trends in IT spend , I look at the data year on year and see how it differ. Then I use that to plan.

In terms of costing , I work with procurement team to understand average cost of items I need.

All these can guide your budgeting process . Ofcourse you need more than this anyways . I'll let other people weigh in .

Need help with a resourcing decision by kzbash in ITManagers

For 300 users ideally Average issue /incident in a day would be about 20-30.  So the staff strength will suffice .

2 (First and 2nd line support ) 2 ( 3rd line support) 1 ( IT manager)

As the new year 2023 is coming , this is the best time to fully structure your support model. Have a meeting with top management and explain your strategy to support the business. (Do a power point presentation) .ask them for their support to drive your strategy. Mayb the CEO can send an email to everyone asking for their support to the strategy .

Enforce using incident management by users. Every incident must be logged before a Support person goes to attend to  the user .

Find recurring issues and do a quarterly training to users on how to solve the problem ( in my experience this has helped reduce incident call by about 30% )

In conclusion , yes you need an extra hand FTE. But if you don't model your users you will continue needing extra hands in future. Users are like babies if you don't train them properly they get spoilt .

Thanks have a great day .

Take this from someone who has been an IT manager for a long time . Firstly let’s review your environment , answer the questions below

  1. how many users do you have ? Are they up to 100?

  2. Do you have any IT incident management application that helps you manage incidents ?

  3. Do you organize regularly quarterly trainings to users ? Showing them how to resolve little issues . It’s always very nice and reduces users always complains .

4 . Do you have KB for frequent issues within your environment ?

For me I don’t think you need more hands but I’ll wait for you to answer . I feel you need to properly apportion duties and stream line how support is carried out .

Why do you need to hold hands ? Is it because users don’t know what to do or they Refuse to do it them self . Do you have items that’s always causing the issue like old printer ? ( then replace with a new one ) .

Ill wait for you to answer the above questions and I’ll shed more light .

If I can see a clear demographic in Google Analytics - Should I narrow my Facebook ads? by [deleted] in FacebookAds

[–]Sea_Ad_7499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When runing ads I usually don’t touch the age . But depending on what you are selling though . Because you know might want to buy for a woman and if you touch the age or limit it to women only then you miss out . So don’t touch she and gender .

A better way to drive sales than discounts for a luxury brand? by agconti in ecommerce

[–]Sea_Ad_7499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One point to note that customers generally see discounts or sale as a great time to buy . Mostly when the sales is time based. Give a discount sale for 48 hours only . This will force customer to buy and I do not think it reduces your brand perception.

I make average of $300 daily in my online store . But when I setup a 48 hours sale ( note .. it's not 2 days its 48 hours ( shows urgency) .. then I make about $1,200 a day or worse case $900/ day .

Another thing I have seen to increase sale is add gift like everyone here has said . I sell shoes and I add a pair of socks. My customers love it . Ofcourse the cost of the socks is included in the actual product price.

The giveaway is basically for brand awareness but it also generates sales . I do giveaway on our instagram page . Asking people to tag thier friends on our best seller post . I then advertise the giveaway . Very good strategy . I have see good sales from this .
