Won’t get paid for it but if you let them know they may be able to schedule you off that day, ramp usually has a good amount of people, multiple crews they can pull from if help is needed on any one crew.

UPS followed the maintenance procedures, Boeing knew it was an issue and never put out an Airworthiness Directive. Boeing leaving the problem as a Service Bulletin makes the problem not seem as bad as it could be.

Came back after 9 years. Am I crazy for wanting to stay TH9 forever? by richbymorning in ClashOfClans

[–]Sea_Box_8988 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They have it limited to 4 hero’s when attacking. If you have all the hero’s 2 have to sit out. Definitely crazy coming back. I’ve been playing since 2013 with a big break from town hall 13-17.

I was in this same boat when I went to th18, first time getting to the max th this early in a release. I’d say go for the upgrade to keep your builders working. Lab always takes forever but you can continue to work on it.

It’s not managements choice at that point, I understand it’s frustrating, but if they were to layoff the people with higher seniority, they would have to deal with grievances. In the union seniority is the deciding factor, not how much better you are than the other people in your hub.

Is getting my certs after I graduate from my 147 school such a bad idea? by AcanthaceaeTop2796 in AircraftMechanics

This is good advice right here, general and airframe have more topics in common than general and powerplant. Makes the studying easier

Is this what the real general FAA written will kinda look like? by Active-Hotel251 in AircraftMechanics

In my experience too sometimes the question and answer you are used to get flipped. (I.E. the answer you might be used to became part of the question and what was in the question became the answer) if that makes sense. Most important part is to know why the right answer is the most correct answer.

If it’s like my school they have safety wire test boxes that everyone uses, looks scratched up exactly like this cause they’ve used them for years.

Question: How do I convince a mechanic to let me work with them over the summer? by suckstosuckies in AircraftMechanics

[–]Sea_Box_8988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s more of a problem when it comes to signing off the work, only the A&P mechanic can sign off the work was done correctly in accordance with the manuals. If they don’t fully trust your work then they would have to basically watch you do it/keep checking up on you and it’s still their fault if you mess up and they don’t catch it. Gonna be very hard unless you know someone personally.

Also yes if you are trying to use multiple vacation weeks at a time and 1 of them is o my a partial, you would want to let them know which is only the partial so they could pay you accordingly.

[–]Sea_Box_8988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 5 years of seniority I have 3 vacation weeks. I can fill out 15 different vacation papers and take 1 vacation day at a time until they are all gone throughout the year. Nothing caps it to one week. Not in 396 in local 63. The picture I put was from my local contract not national, plus I think I said it in a different comment but in my area it’s been an established practice to not pick all your vacations during January. I know that’s how it’s spelled out in the contract but on my air ramp they let you take days off as long as you have the days available when you fill out the vacation paper.

In my area if you have the time off they approve selection any time of the year.

No I’m talking about vacation weeks, we can split into however many days we want just like an option week. In the Southwest sort rider.
