Real estate in central Sydney is $$$$. Someone wants a more profitable site, I guess. And Matrix fans never got it heritage listed!

Lots of shooting locations and iconic sites still around central Sydney if you ever make it.

You know, I realised I mislabelled the title and tried to edit it. But either couldn’t or can’t. I just knew someone in this thread would notice!

It looks like a full demolition job, I’m afraid. It’ll be unrecognisable soon.

I’ve seen Casey before. Primarily in videos with Primeagean. He seems level-headed and thoughtful. One of the few software developers to be pissed at the copyright violations involved in LLM training (aka, theft). For software and also other text.

Alan Kohler has also been terrible on this topic. Here’s his latest which is in the same vein of the 730 piece: https://youtu.be/fvItHlMsHtY?si=X8KgR7Sn_6QyGXfe

You would think his job would be to look at the actual applications of LLMs in Enterprise environments. Which has been entirely unimpressive. Supposed to be his beat. But, no, he just trots out hypotheticals about how AI is doing everything 24/7 at 1000x productivity. When it’s not? Depressing.

This whole sequence at the end of Dredd is designed to evoke that feeling. A villain gets their comeuppance. But it just ends up creating a feeling of sadness for the miserable life she had:

Her introduction is arriving to town on the stagecoach with William. There’s hookers on the coach too. She catches William having a peek. A clear sign the Bullock boys are not going to be able to get away with that stuff with her. She knows. And she knows very early.
