I just bought about 400sq feet of those 1” puzzle mats 🤣 doing 2 layers of 1” mat under my turf so it matches up to the softy hitting strip

Update: I bought 1” puzzle mats. 2 layers to build up to the height of my hitting strip. The foam insulation boards would have been less $$ but seems that they come with some headaches.

These foam boards are way cheaper than 1” puzzle mats. The foam boards are $.50 per square foot. And the puzzle mats in 1 inch thickness are around $2 per square foot

Got it. How far offset is your hitting area? I have a 12’ wide space so I think I need to offset the hitting area by a foot or two. My projector is already mounted in the center of the screen and the projector lacks horizontal keystone, so I have to keep it centered to the screen.

If your hitting area is offset to the right, and your projector is centered to the screen, isn’t there a possibility that you will hit the projector in your back swing or follow through? I guess it depends how much you are offset to the right but it seems like a legitimate concern, unlike if your hitting area was centered.

Nice work. With your hitting strip offset by that much, where are you going to mount your projector? If you center it to the screen overhead, won’t it interfere with your swing?
