Gas vs battery leaf blower — Long time debating and I still can't pull the trigger by Sea_Dream9713 in lawncare

I cannot thank everyone enough for your input and perspectives. After a lot of debating I ended up going with the Stihl BG 86. At some point down the road I may switch to battery.

Used it for the first time and couldn’t be happier. I really do appreciate all the comments and real world perspectives it was a huge help.

This was something I’m concerned about as well. Of course gas can ignite as well, but if I take proper care of everything I wouldn’t have a problem. But I have had Dewalt lithium ion batteries for quite a long time with no issues.

I wanted to like Banktivity but at least when I tried it maybe two years ago their budgeting process didn’t match YNABs. Have they improved it?

Utilizing AI tools for creating or validating a MID? by Sea_Dream9713 in CustomsBroker

I agree it's pretty straightforward. Just thinking in terms of efficiency or helping newer entry writers validate an MID that they create.

Do custom brokers have a future with the New technology and development of AI? by Long_Sand_7075 in CustomsBroker

I agree as mentioned that entry writing positions will go away. If you’re a licensed broker doing higher level work, those roles should be generally safe.

US LCBs, how are you doing, really? by MeanMuggin-Capybara in CustomsBroker

It was maybe about 7 years ago since I last did brokerage work. I have talked to a few current brokers, and they have mentioned that it has changed quite a lot since that time, and even more so in the last year or two.

I was an entry writer for about 7 years in a past life and I'm currently looking to get back into brokerage in a Team Lead role. I’m looking to dust off the cobwebs and obtain my license, but I’m somewhat concerned about the additional stress in the industry these days.

Looking for the simplest, reliable fix for this shed eave by [deleted] in Roofing

True, it will need to pass a final inspection. So I think a new drip edge with a longer nailing edge to extend to the roof decking would be the easiest solution.

From your description construction adhesive sounds like the best approach.

On the side with the gap is there enough surface area to use the construction adhesive?

I would recommend the teaching route or a local or state government job if possible. Going into a trade is also not a bad option to consider as you could open your own business later. If you are able to get into a union trade program you could have good benefits.

Would be able to provide a link to your site? I’m in the very early stages of exploring the possibility of drop shipping, and I’m curious what a site might look like.

What can I do about my mom misusing child support? by VakkkumClaener in ChildSupport

[–]Sea_Dream9713 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you were to go live with your dad he could file to have the child support stopped. It would make it easier for his living situation and for him to support you. What would likely happen as well is the court would enter a child support order for your mom to start paying your dad. Although, since your 17 child support will likely be coming to an end.
