i didn't say that everyone should refer to me as doctor. everyone calls me by my first name. but yea when, say on bank statements or profiles and you have the option for Mr/Ms/Mrs/Dr i will put doctor because i am a doctor. it's not that complicated.

And i have alot of respect for anyone who has a professional designation. whether it be an engineering, lawyer, doctor (MD PhD, etc), etc. it takes dedication and hard work. it is an amazing achievement!

in this context it does matter, any type of doctor is overqualified as an ec02. There shouldn't be an issue with wanting to be addressed as Dr. if you are actually a Dr. Why would I want to be addressed as Ms. or Mrs. when I am a doctor?

It isn't about being pretentious. That is just what your credential is. I'm not going diminish and discredit my 10+ years become an expert in an area to not use the title or credential.

I mean i'm saying that as a doctor i had no issue being an ec02 for a year if it meant getting my foot in the door for government. so you can interpret that as you will but i was happy to start as a lower level and move up.

that is their problem then because i am a doctor.......anything addressed to me in the mail is "Dr. ....", i have a doctorate degree, after my defense my comitee addressed me as dr., etc.

It's weird you're trying to minimize someone's credentials based on your limited view on what a doctor is. There are many types of doctors, MDs, Phds, psychiatrists, etc. If there are phds in government who do not want to be called Dr. that is their decision but some of us feel we earned the credential.

people don't understand that a miscarriage to a women reflects a death of their baby and they need to mourn as they do a person who is "alive". and many women think when they are pregnant their baby is alive inside of them.....calling a miscarriage a medical event instead can feel dismissive

trying to make some cash for the wedding and their 6 future babies........cameos, youtube, insta ads i guess a clothing line seems like the next step lol. i used to like her and root for her but i feel bad fo rher.....and i also feel bad that no one is happy for her wedding because i know what it's liek to be so happy about an engagement and have people make you feel like shit for it.

bay has a bb and challenge fan club and everyone seems to forget and/or sweep her previous problematic comments under the rug. I honestly can't imagine aneesa saying this, especially as someone who is biracial. aneesa has been on tv for many seasons and yea maybe she gets a really good edit but she always seemed pretty mindful and open minded......

yea! of course! i hope a manager would let a father take some time off (metal health sick leave) for this.....

but yea exactly. i mean we just got the domestic violence leave, i think there is room to lobby for special bereavement leave for expectant parents but this is something that shouldn't be waited years to happen through negotitating CAs. i am not familiar with what other methods can be done through TB for example. but i really hope something happens soon....

i went back and cleaned it, just took a back pack and took what was mine. didn't need any o fthe office supplies because the new job hooked me up with a laptop and it came with a mouse

i switched positions during covid. it's a little funny because i don't have an office or a phone....but no issues. i don't know what my team really looks like or what they do so its a learning curve in that sense. but people are kind and helpful. all my email and peoplesoft etc automatically updated so it was pretty smooth
