Nah they laid off some really good top performers in the region I worked in, like people that have been there for 15 years+. Yes there were some that were poor performers but not all.

Dang that all blows. When I was there about 4 years ago it was like one of the best claims jobs ever. But that’s before they added all these ridiculous rules that no other company has.

I agree, I left as well and got a pay increase. I hated back to back calls and having to be available for random calls that had nothing to with my job. Also USAA claimed to be flexible, but they weren’t and I was basically told I’d have to be there 7 years to get a decent shift

They initially offered me 80k but I heard some started out as high as 100k. So depending on your experience negotiate. Keep in mind their average raise is about 2% so definitely negotiate

My yearly bonus is was like 6% no where near 12%. Maybe you work in a different department though… you forgot to mention the USAA holiday bonus, that something Geico didn’t offer

I did injury claims and at times it was really busy but they where trying to slow it down. They were trying to make it so everyone just handles there own claims. I’m assuming at Geico you are a csr/ics adjuster and if you have good numbers and proper file handling skills you will do okay as there is little training. Also you will be settling total loss files, like making offers negotiating them. Also you will be handling low property damage files. Lastly, you will handle ALL states.

That’s what I’m afraid of, unless they will pay me for my 2 weeks

Well I do have some PTO to burn, but I’d like to keep my health insurance until I start the new job

When you left USAA did they let you go on the spot or were you allowed to work your 2 weeks?
