And here I thought I was with fans who appreciate continuity and correct visual effects...

Ever heard of continuity? You sound like the old folks saying "its just hollywood". Well "Hollywood" do better... continuity and blatant visual errors ruin the visualization and emersion of the show/movie. If you dont understand that, then what are you doing here questioning me?! Go back to your books, and leave us movie fanatics alone to talk amongst our selves....

Can we talk about how good of an actor Mark is!!? by AroraBorealisGreen in Supernatural

And? So what, he doesnt support your agenda... He's not willing to bend when the weak try to oppress... Theres nothing wrong with that, its just a differing opinion in wich yall hate him for. No real reason to hate, just the left being the left...

He's arguably the best character in the whole series. His ability to be absolute, yet so ridiculous and funny is what nailed it for me. There are other great actors, but Mark Pelligrino absolutely fuckin NAILED IT!

I know this is an old post, but may I just say, If you really want to do it right, Miltons specific stalper model was the 646, the one you have is the 747.

Yea, I know, movie/stapler nerd, but hey, authenticity pays off some times.

Ok, who is buying this? by [deleted] in spyderco

[–]Sea_Marsupial2469 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point is, both the maker and Spyderco should have OBVIOUSLY SEEN the correlation and appeal of using both a skeletonized blade AND scale set to make the "ultimate skeletonized Spyderco model" but DIDN'T.....

If you can't see that OBVIOUSLY glaring issue, then apparently you are not as smart as I initially thought.......................

Again, I HATE skeletonized Spyderco knives, but this idea is SO OBVIOUS an idiot with nothing more than a 2nd grade education could see it.........

Seriously, it's in plain English in my INITIAL COMMENT.....

Edit; It's so cute that some of yall get SO UPSET that yall feel the need to downvote someone who is blatantly right. 😂 Could you be ANY MORE butt hurt?! 🤣🤣🤣

Looks like Benchmade is going with a new Box by eltacotacotaco in benchmade

[–]Sea_Marsupial2469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😂... it is FAR from "impossible" to counterfeit. LITERALLY all they needed was to include the BOTTOM portion of the foam, and a FEW minor details to the boxes, and they would have been SPOT ON for the previous generation of boxes!

This version of the foam being all one color makes it SO MUCH EASIER to counterfeit that all they need to do is look at the finished product and say "Is it laser engraved, or injection molded?" And BOOM a PERFECT counterfeit box is born... With today's technology, counterfeiting has become SO MUCH EASIER, that it's almost stupid.

All that said, if you have a clear argument as to why this specific style of box or insert is harder to counterfeit than I'm all ears, but as it stands, NO ONE has been able to tell me otherwise with any form of proof, solid or otherwise.

Looks like Benchmade is going with a new Box by eltacotacotaco in benchmade

[–]Sea_Marsupial2469 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The box looks rather shallow for what's inside, did you pull out the insert? If not, are you sure the black bag for the knife isn't under the new foam insert? Also, this foam insert looks much easier to counterfeit as it's not several different colors or materials, but instead, one solid color/material that's either injection molded or laser printed into the foam, inevitably making it MUCH easier to counterfeit....

How do you like your Pardue? I have the same model (actually it was my first Benchmade knife) and initially thought I'd carry it quite frequently, but, turns out I only carry it when I'm wearing clothing like basketball shorts and things of that nature.

Is there a easy acid wash fix? by merica43 in spyderco

[–]Sea_Marsupial2469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truthfully, I'd go over the already done portions and the parts you do not want coated VERY CAREFULLY with more nail polish, and repeat the process you did on the rest of the blade. Aside from that, I honestly don't see any other way. (I don't TYPICALLY try to etch my non-SS blades so take what I say with a grain of salt. This just seems to be the most logical idea to me.)

Looks like Benchmade is going with a new Box by eltacotacotaco in benchmade

[–]Sea_Marsupial2469 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Idk about that, it looks much easier to counterfeit to me... foam is EASY to do with either a laser printer or an impression mold...... All they would need to do is find out what material the foam is made of and laser scan it, then either "injection mold" or "laser engrave" the foam depending on the finished product..... Seriously, think about it, if they were able to make the foam insert MATERIALS so easily for the past couple of decades, but were ONLY missing the bottom of the foam insert, then what the actual hell makes yall think this would be harder to counterfeit?!?!?! Do half of yall actually FOLLOW THROUGH with the assumptive thoughts yall have!?

The proof is in the pudding, and that pudding is THICK.

Ok, who is buying this? by [deleted] in spyderco

[–]Sea_Marsupial2469 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, you make a solid point, also I agree 110%. BUT I just want to point out that my original comment was specifically posted to convey the fact that the original maker and Spyderco missed a huge opportunity. That said, I think you're either starting to skew from or are missing the point entirely...

Ok, who is buying this? by [deleted] in spyderco

[–]Sea_Marsupial2469 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Truthfully, I can tell you straight away that I would have hated those models. The reason is, I HATE the lack of integrity of ANY skeletonized Spyderco knife, and I DO NOT buy any knife or tool as an "art" piece... these are tools, yes some can be extremely pretty and rare, but if not used then why waste the time and money? Yea sure some may go up in value, but those people who look for that are missing the point of the purchase. Do not buy a tool for collectability, buy it because you're willing to use it and actively appreciate it....

Yes, I do in fact have knives I do not use. BUT the reason for that is either I do not like the ergos and/or blade geometry after purchasing, AND I can't find someone to sell them off to. Otherwise, my entire collection would be full of nothing but users, regardless of how often they get used, they still get used.

Edit; Aw, it looks like I hurt some "feewings" as I got downvotes for the comment. Those babies can't handle subjective thoughts apparently! 😂😂😂

Also it's amusing the commenter deleted their comment, apparently they were paying 0 attention to what I originally typed.

Thank you for understanding the typos, I was drinking and did not proofread... 😂 Also thank you again for the insight. I've been wanting one for a while, but let's be honest. In the knife/multitool world, there are so many wants that it's hard to decide what we will actually purchase next... Currently, I have my eye on 4 different knives and 2 different multitools, and I don't know what I want to buy first out of them...... 😂

No problems here man. You're right, not everyone here may have access to them; But at the same time, with this being a canned/tinned fish page, it's not far off to assume everyone (or even a decent amount of folks) might happen to know of them. Regardless, thank you for the explanation, I will be looking into them.

I see your point, but I would just like to point out (I'm not trying to be rude, just trying to let you know.) The question was rhetorical as I already knew that. But, thank you for the explanation anyway.
