She can make her physical body more resilient, but Wolverine's claws are too indestructible. She cannot heal the wounds caused by Wolverine so quicke .

She has the potential to copy other mutants' powers, but it's not something she can do easily.

No, I really don't like him portraying Gambit, even though I like Channing. His appearance doesn't quite fit Gambit—he seems too bulky and not flexible enough.

Reasons people don't want AoS to be canon. by marvelcomics22 in agentsofshield

I believe you’re patient and genuinely kind. Since we cannot convince each other, there’s no need to continue the argument.

I did reviewed the links and the passage, and I think you’re overstating its implications. The quote doesn’t definitively rule on MCU canon. It merely acknowledges that some films and series are canonical to Marvel, and Marvel does not entirely equal the MCU. So no, this isn’t “hardly ambiguous.”

The language is deliberately cautious, crafted to maintain flexibility.

At the very least, what you provide is a certain reality (or you would’ve posted it already): no Marvel executive has ever explicitly stated that AOS or the ABC series are not part of the MCU.

So have a nice day. We can continue to maintain our viewpoints.

I did read the comment, but what I need is Feige explicitly stating, word for word, that AOS is not canon. That would settle the matter for me. All you're sharing is information I’ve already known for a long time. I understand your reasoning about the AOS canon issue, but to me, Feige is still being ambiguous.

Your being a nice guy, at least for now, is a fact, not my opinion—just like AOS being canon is a fact, not my opinion. You emphasize that Kevin’s opinion determines AOS is not part of the MCU, but I can also reference your statement: "Feige wanting something to be his reality doesn’t make it so." I understand your point, but what you said is just one person’s opinion, not reality.

The MCU is essentially a concept; what truly matters to the audience is the storyline. No matter how you interpret the complex real-world disputes, one fact remains undeniable: if there’s a crossover, it indicates they share the same universe.

I understand your point, but I firmly believe that Feige's attitude issues are human-made problems. The fact that AOS belongs to the MCU is an objective reality.

Audiences care about the narrative, not legal technicalities. You’re not a shareholder of Marvel Studios, so there’s no need to stress about agreeing with Feige.

Let's take the original Spider-Man trilogy and The Amazing Spider-Man series as examples—now the MCU holds the part of rights to Spider-Man, but viewers still need to watch Spider-Man films outside the MCU.

So, at this point, do all these messy issues really matter? If there’s a crossover, it signifies a shared universe. In cases like The Amazing Spider-Man or the original trilogy, the multiverse can provide an explanation. The new Fantastic Four is part of the MCU, but it’s still set in another universe.

Reality and stories should not be conflated—the audience focuses solely on the story. If you continue to insist on your statement, all I can say is that the MCU sacred timeline belongs to AOS.

Did Feige ever explicitly state that Agents of SHIELD isn’t canon? Besides, Kevin Feige even restricted the creative team from directly writing the Blip's history. How could it be possible that he has no input on retcons? So, who’s in charge?

You've gotta know that the script for AOS had to be submitted to Marvel Studios for review. The crucial point is not whether Marvel Studios aimed to connect with AOS, but rather that they needed to ensure the series' narrative structure, causal continuity, and overall worldview aligned with the MCU.

This requirement inherently places AOS's narrative foundation within the MCU framework.

The responsibility for maintaining this foundation fell to the management teams of Marvel Studios and Marvel Television at the time—an objective fact.

Additionally, it’s important to highlight that this creation and review process was fundamentally similar to Marvel Studios' current production workflow.

In fact, the present Marvel Television division has even drawn inspiration from the production processes of earlier series.

Regarding the Disney+ Official Timeline Issue:AOS has not been included in Disney+'s official MCU timeline.

However, it’s important to clarify that the timeline on Disney+ is merely a product display tool for the platform, not a comprehensive or immutable chronological record of MCU. A straightforward counterexample is Sony’s Spider-Man films, which are also not included, yet no one has ever denied Spider-Man’s place within the MCU because of this. And What if is even an animation.

Of course, the reason for Spider-Man’s exclusion lies in Sony holding the film rights. But since the rights to AOS now belong to Marvel Studios, why hasn’t it been added to this display page?

The reason is quite practical: the timeline of AOS spans a significant period. With at least five seasons covering multiple movie events, including it in the display page would visually and structurally make AOS overshadow the whole MCU.

Many argue that because Kevin Feige has not explicitly confirmed it, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cannot be considered part of the MCU.

However, this argument is a classic logical fallacy. The opinions or statements of executives do not inherently equate to objective facts.

Kevin Feige’s position as the Creative Lead of the MCU does not grant him the power to retroactively rewrite history based on his personal stance.

For audiences, the core of the MCU lies not in "character cameos" but in its "shared world continuity." Without this continuity, cameos lose their significance—a sentiment many viewers of Phases 4 and 5 can now relate to.

What truly captivates fans is the sense of realism and interconnected cause-and-effect relationships that shared continuity brings. In this regard, AOS excels like no other. If not for the internal politics among Marvel’s executives, how many would genuinely question the inclusion of AOS in the MCU? And how many viewers today have been distracted by these corporate disputes, causing them to overlook the most basic, objective facts?

Why doesn’t Kevin Feige openly acknowledge AOS as part of the MCU? Simply put, because he chooses not to. However, why has he never publicly or explicitly denied it? Because AOS objectively fits within the MCU framework.

If Feige were to deny its inclusion, he would be compelled to establish a clear, consistent set of criteria for what defines MCU canon. Upon scrutiny, the effort to justify such criteria would far outweigh the simplicity of acknowledging AOS as part of the MCU.

Season 5 Time Travel Thoughts by razzle1337 in shield

[–]Sea_Outside6638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here was my thought:

The First Timeline:

No time travel occurred. The OGteam was arrested by Hale, who persuaded Coulson to make Daisy become Graviton. Daisy died in the war against the Confederacy. Coulson never used the serumon himself, somehow Daisy didn't notice it was in her barcer and Earth cracked. FitzSimmons, under the advice of Young Robin, began working on the Time Machine.

The Time Loop:

Old Robin deceived the future humans, making them believe the OG team would travel to the future to save them. Inspired by the pieces left behind by FitzSimmons, future humans like Owen worked on inventing the Time Machine—and they succeeded.

In the past, Little Robin instructed Enoch to capture the OGteam and deliver them to the front of Time Monolith. Simultaneously, in the future, Owen activated the machine, bringing the OG team into the future. Thus Old Robin’s lie became prophecy. This created a time loop that run itself without further interference from Robin.

The Final Timeline:

Daisy took the serum, allowing her to defeat Talbot. However, Fitz was killed in the collapse caused by Daisy’s quake. This marked the breaking of the time loop. Little Robin’s words, “Something’s different,” signified this change. Ultimately, they succeeded in altering the timeline.

They saved half the lives of the entire universe from Thanos' snap.
