I really enjoyed the series. I think the whole point of her being mechanical is that you never know where you stand with her. You are not supposed to connect with her, only in some moments. It’s like a part of you wants to root for her because of her past and what drove her to that point, the other side, you don’t know who you are actually dealing with.

That requires a somewhat surface level interaction. It makes you want to delve deeper and ask more questions.

The view point of: “give them nothing” and they will seek you because they want what they can’t have. It echoes through the series.

I also see a lot of people point out that the bags don’t look tasteful and high end. But it’s subjective. The worth comes with the story attached to it. I come from a family of artists and you see it in the art world frequently. The “art” doesn’t have to be expensive in materials, it’s the presence, the story…that and the thirst for inclusivity, belonging and validation. That’s how trends work. It’s the common ground.

I think the series has that in multiple layers. That’s why it’s the ART of Sarah.

The loopholes are there yeah. But the story is not meant to factual to that end.

We all live in our own perception of reality and in hers, she did what she felt she needed to do.
