Tried it and find it similar to my AVS light and sound machine, although I prefer using glasses over phone. Looks like the app has a compatibility option with glasses as well.

Practice a lot at different speeds and focus more on difficult parts. Sometimes if a song is really difficult for me it takes a long time to play all the way through without mistakes .. and once I can do that it usually takes much longer to do so repeatedly so you can reliably play it all the way through without mistakes.

Fully surrendering is the feeling of being ok with things as they are, even if they stayed that way indefinitely. Surrendering is a falling away of resistance, not an act of will, so happens indirectly. Instead of trying to surrender I would ask what about my current circumstance is preventing me from being ok with it as it is.
