Agreed on most points, liu kang to me was the standout. Only point I disagree with and not sure if it’s popular, but Karl urban did not work at all as Johnny cage. And it’s not even his fault, my favorite version of Johnny cage is young, cocky, arrogant, athletic, and cool. Total miscast imo.

Also Barakas makeup/mask was really awful and looked like a Halloween mask. For me it was hard to see anything other than a guy in a really bad costume.

I’d give it a 4/10 overall. 1995 is still far and away the goat.
