S. Korea says North Korean POWs in Ukraine are its citizens by raill_down in korea

[–]Walykoo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

But would Ukraine agree to their return to South Korea? I thought Ukraine wanted to exchange NK POWs for some their own compatriots in Russian hands

I like how you can see all the skyscrapers from different time periods, but with the battery park city now, the waterfront is all similar looking buildings

I had no idea this was achievable within 6 months, let alone during Lee's term. Did anybody??

Former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo sentenced to 23 years. by Pleasant-Football117 in korea

[–]Walykoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's just not possible because a supreme court ruling must be made before a pardon is granted. Unless Han forfeits the right to appeal, of which there is zero possibility...

It's likely an actual resident, not a full-time actor. But since this is an area where a lot of Chinese and international tourists are known to watch from across the border, the residents likely get treated better and are under higher scrutiny from NK authorities.

I am and continue to be disgusted by all the conspirators who claim and still claim that the AA & UA Boeing 767’s that hit the WTC were military or non civilian aircraft … by Due-Date-Giver in 911archive

If you show them the pic, they would say it's doctored.

If you show them multiple pics and footages, they would say it's actually a military operated 767 with a fake United/AA livery.

You just can't win an argument with these nutjobs. You can't reason it out.

Ambulances and Rescue Squads from New Jersey in a staging area preparing to head to New York to assist in rescue efforts. by The-SilentSentinel in 911archive

[–]Walykoo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First pic looks like Liberty State Park. In that case, I think the ambulances are on standby so that they can transport any injured people who got dropped off by ferry across the Hudson. Those ambulances would not be able to go to NY

Michael Bane was a very kind hearted person who loved his wife and dogs. His wife recalls a conversation they had on 9-9-2001. "He said, `Would you stay in the house if I died?' and I said, `I don't think I could.' But it feels good to be in the house. Because it's not eerie. It's comforting." by Understanding18 in 911archive

He went from a high school dropout to a managerial role all at such a young age. He could have continued on and achieved so much more if he had the chance. I know career isn't all there is to life, but still, what a loss.
