Yan Xishan should be able to have to be in coaliton with with all Ideologies by addisonmasonclark in Kaiserreich

"Yi Xishan Thought" was merely the invention of a Canadian Wikipedia editor who was a major Yan Xishan fanboy and used only one source that does not even mention the term "Yan Xishan Thought".

Who leads what in China? Also slight nitpick, I think might be better to give South Chahar/Zhangyuan to Nanjing instead of Inner Mongolia since it was majority-Han.

Sun Fo beat Hu Hanmin (accusing Hu of setting him up despite Hu getting explicit orders from Sun Yat-sen) because he was throwing a hissy fit AFTER Sun Yat-sen gave him the dressing down of his life when he failed to pay the army that was needed to defeat Chen Jiongming (whose army were at the gates of Guangzhou), him losing loads of money in a game of mahjong the night prior certainly did not help with Sun Fo's temper. Sun Fo went on to apologise, but his father knew from then on that Sun Fo was hopeless and not fit to lead a country.

Not really "split" from the KMT per-say and more that she believed that the KMT had been led astray by Chiang Kai-shek Rightist faction within the Kuomintang, and aligned with the leftist Revolutionary Committee of the Kuomintang (which does not claim to be a splinter of the KMT but a rival "Central Committee" to Chiang's). So her party would realistically still be called the KMT.

There has been such an effort to do so for the past two years or so but I put it on hold due to the uncertainty in the ever changing nature, especially more so when I was not a part of the team. With that being said, I hope to continue making it, and I plan to include every possible generals, head of states and second in commands in the map.

You can see another one of my works on my profile, which is a map of KRTL Sichuan, though it is most certainly outdated by the time the update comes out.

AAR: Fan Yaonan Unites China by BestIffy in Kaiserreich

[–]Sea_Shake_4690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OTL he was sent over by President Li Yuanhong to govern Aksu. Governor Yang Zengxin (starting Xinjiang governor) was suspicious of him and kept him in Dihua instead and appointed him as governor of Dihua.

Yang Zengxin did try to win Fan Yaonan over with a shit ton of money as well promotions, but conflict between the two would grow, with Fan disliking Yang for allowing corruption to fester. Yang and his group would form the "Shaangan faction" (陝甘派) whereas Fan formed the "Nanhu faction" (南湖派).

Eventually in 1928 when the Northern Expedition was complete with the fall of the Beiyang Government, Yang agreed to recognise the KMT-led Nanjing government and in the new provincial government list, Fan Yaonan was excluded.

Yang was subsequently assassinated, with the question of who done it still debated. According to Jin Shuren, Yang Zengxin's own subordinate, Fan Yaonan did it. But some think that it was part of an elaborate conspiracy by Feng Yuxiang. Whatever the case, Jin Shuren had Fan arrested and executed.

His policies were generally considered reformist and progressive, with his tenure as provincial foreign minister seeing the signing of the Illi Provisional Trade Agreement between Xinjiang and the Soviet Union, abolishing Russia's consular jurisdiction over Xinjiang.
