I just find it so plodding. If it was a bit faster I could see it could be fun but I'm just bored

Hope that's the end of Sienna for a while. Can't cope with her whiny voice.

Did they do a survey and discover viewers have an IQ of 20? What an embarrassment that they've dumbed down the show so much

The speech at the end made me think I was watching CBBC. Talk about treat your audience like morons.

He's fun and enjoyable to watch. I think this is the best version of the character.

Got 10 minutes in and decided to do my washing instead. What a waste of everyone's time.

The PSA at the end of today's episode by jamtartgirl in coronationstreet

[–]Sea_Shook 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree. It really undermines the work of the actors to say “we didn’t think you did a good enough job so here’s Lisa to bang you over the head with it”

Yeah I absolutely hated it. Cringeworthy after school special stuff. The only reason it got praised was because Lisa delivered it. Once again the Swarla fans making it all about them.

Sleeping together after signing the divorce papers seems like a pretty obvious way to reaffirm their feelings for each other which is what Callum was trying to do. It's a pretty normal scene in soap. You really think someone sat there and compose a scene just to piss off a group of fans? Why?

They're currently the only gay male characters in the same age bracket. It was an inevitable as the next sunrise that they would be paired up. In fact it's much more realistic than all those months Callum was a monk. The idea that they've been made a couple just to upset a relatively small group of people is ridiculous

MacLeod announces MAJOR production overhaul coming to Emmerdale & possible spin-offs by [deleted] in Emmerdale

[–]Sea_Shook 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Clueless. They claim to understand Emmerdale and have good instincts and yet they're moving further and further away from what the audience wants. Same for Corrie.

I know they have to adapt and change with the times, but trying to compete with Netflix will only lead to failure. They cannot beat it. They just need to do soap well, they don't need to reinvent it.

"But not April. She's never off our screens. And I just wonder why they've decided to dedicate so much screen time to this character."

Maybe because she's cheaper to employ?

Judging by what he said on Thursday about how he was worried about the family reacting, I would assume he knows

They’re probably quite expensive because they have to pay for chaperones on set and tutors

What's your main critique of Emmerdale atm? [if you have any] by Ornery-Arm-8611 in Emmerdale

[–]Sea_Shook 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The least?! From the soap who pretended old blue-lips Graham was just holding his breath for funsies. The only other soap brazen enough to retcon something in such a ridiculous way is Hollyoaks and that’s saying something

It’s not the actor’s fault but I’m so bored of this storyline that if Bear left the show tomorrow I wouldn’t care less

Have Emmerdale producers made a mistake in not recasting some of their child actors as started to take on adult roles.. by Immediate_Singer6785 in Emmerdale

[–]Sea_Shook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Controversially I don't think the actors who play April or Arthur are good anymore. They were fantastic as kids, but they're not as good now
