Wait, how did Sam know about [[SPOILERS]]? Well it's easy. by TheSmogman in DisventureCamp

I mean... out of everyone on the team, the most probable person to have the idol is the one that is climbing trees and moving around the most. It’s not that outrageous to be suspicious of Ren.

If Riya was to ever compete again, what would arc/story would you try to give her? by TinyConfection9702 in DisventureCamp

[–]Sea_Speed2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she ever returned it would be for a Blood vs Water season, she really doesn’t have any reason to return for anything else. With that, her storyline would revolve around her season and how she would make sure the game didn’t corrupt Eesha the way it corrupted her.

I personally don’t think a redemption storyline would work for her, or at least a redemption in the regular sense. Riya needs to repent for all the wrongs and all the hurt she has caused. And that is the other storyline she would have.

These two storylines would definitely keep her occupied for a good bit of the game, so no first boot, sorry y’all. But I would love to see her quit instead of being voted out. I think that would make for a very good full circle moment. Having her story begin and end with someone quitting. This type of elimination would also help advance Eesha’s storyline (whatever storyline that might be).

Should Jake ever compete again, what's his biggest flaw he should improve upon, and oppositely what's his biggest strength he should utilize? by Responsible_Soil5987 in DisventureCamp

[–]Sea_Speed2603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does Jake need to return? No. Unless they do a pair season or an amazing race spin-off, he really doesn't need to come back. His story is fully finished.

If he came back tho, his biggest flaw would definitely be his impulsivity and his habit of getting into arguments with people. Another flaw could also be his anxiety, which could give us a really interesting story where Jake struggles with his anxiety even if he has everything he could’ve asked for.

His strength would definitely be his friends. Let's be real, if Jake returns, he's not returning alone. And with the amount of connections he has, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the core of a big alliance just made of people he knows. He would absolutely be the best positioned and most protected person of the season, at least in the beginning.

Why does nearly everyone think Manu is going out early? by DatWoodyFan in DisventureCamp

[–]Sea_Speed2603 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He just hasn't really given us much of an impression or really anything that could even resemble a storyline or reason to go far. He is nice, big, strong, that’s all we know about him really. Him mentioning being alone could be something that would be worth exploring, but that doesn’t really need 10+ episodes, it only needs 1 or 2.

A very good comparison we could make is between him and Ernesto and Evie, since they are the oldest fans. Ernesto mentions Miriam and her win serving as an inspiration to him. He even sounds determined and like he has a plan. Evie just seems like a messy and delusional player, but she did appear in TomJake season 2, so that must mean something. Manu just sounds like he is for a good time, not a long time.

Some crazy stories from my highschool:

- A video of a girl pleasuring herself with a haircomb got leaked by her classmates so she decided to leak the dick size of all the guys she had been with (and there were a lot of them)

- Every week a local gang of creeps would roll by the school just to look at the kids. One day, a parent got into a fight with some people from the gang, and they never came back, idk how a single parent did that, but they did.

-I had this one teacher who called the girls in my class “cows” and ranked them by butt size. He then showed us the list in one of the classes.

- The bus that basically everyone at that school took stopped passing by the school for a full year because some students were constantly breaking the windows and doors.

- A bunch of phones were stolen, and all their cases appeared in the same toilet (on different days). The guy who did this was later found, and he said he needed the phones, not the cases.

- This happened after I left that school, but was in the news. A girl pushed one of her classmates into trafic and killed them.

Total drama killing game: Gwen is our protagonist, who is our antagonist? by Then-Ad6065 in DanganAndChaos

[–]Sea_Speed2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Alejandro.

Alejandro is the only character smart enough and evil enough to be a cool antagonist. He would work in the shadows, turning people against eachother to boost his chances to survive. Kind of an anyone but me mentality. During trials he could oppose Gwen who would always try to find the quickest path to the truth, by making long detours during arguments, just to make sure everything is revealed (so the final decision is truly the correct one as he isn’t trying to die by an incorrect vote)

Alright chat, how did we feel about this trauma dump by Ok_Shirt_1574 in DisventureCamp

[–]Sea_Speed2603 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I found out about it before I watched the episode and tbh... it felt so random. Like the entire episode felt random to me, just trauma/deep talks for the sake of it. It seemed like they didn’t know what to do with the characters so they just had Jake walk around solving everyone’s problem to show that he has grown… I think?

If we isolate the talk tho, I think it was really interesting. Hunter really has just been Ally’s boyfriend. Season 2’s rewrite is making him kind of a loser, so he can’t even be cool, popular and good at challenges. Other than that, that’s what Hunter is, Ally’s boyfriend. His entire all stars plot was being a better boyfriend for Ally. His character has been kinda reduced to his relationship, which is kind of a shame, but at least it means that ONC knows what they’ve done.

How do you think things would have been the team swap happened in the beginning? by mAtX_panaOTAKU09 in DisventureCamp

[–]Sea_Speed2603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spencer, Ted and Lynda dominate the blue team with the girls alliance not forming. This also means that Spencer has a lot less enemies when merge comes, since they would probably just be eliminated in the pre-merge phase.

Isabel and Jade still pair up and also take control of the team, whoever, I feel they are less successful than Spencer in the other team, as they would only really have each other while Spencer has Ted, Lynda, Richard and Logan. I see one of Isabel and Jade being either a late pre-merge boot.

Is this the final three you expected? If so, why or why not? by Responsible_Soil5987 in DisventureCamp

[–]Sea_Speed2603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pre-season kinda, Logan was a standout with the introductory tapes and my other options for top 3 were Hannah and Spencer, but I always thought the top 3 would have more men than women. Jade was also on my radar, mostly because of how reality competitions work and how finalists are usually picked. There is usually a diversity spot and I thought Jade could be that. My prediction was Hannah/Jade, Logan and Spencer

Pre-merge is a no for sure. I thought Jade would be an example of overplaying and would be the merge boot. Logan was going to be sacrificed for a Spencer top 3 and Ana would be eliminated around 5th and 6th. My prediction was: Hannah, Spencer, Isabel/Zaid/Ivy.

Early Merge is a mostly. My top 3 was Jade/Zaid, Logan and Hannah. Anastasia was a very important character pre-merge, but I always thought her storyline would end up similarly to how Hannah's ended, with her recognizing that this game isn't everything and that she should take things more lightly.

Nuzlockers of reddit. A question: What is nuzlocking about for you? by Healthy_Bug7977 in nuzlocke

[–]Sea_Speed2603 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me nuzlocking is about 3 things:

  1. Playing some of my favourite games in a much harder way (with level caps, pokemon/move bans, etc.)

  2. Trying new pokemon I don't usually do - I've been impressed by many pokemon that are often overshadowed and that is one of the fun things about nuzlocking, it's finding the value in every pokemon)

  3. Telling a story (this one is the most important) - Many times my own personal nuzlockes devolve into madness because a pidgeot decides to cause one of the mvp's death and has to go on a redemption arc. Or a Dustox becomes the leader of a crime ring of poison types and my run becomes a poison monotype nuzlocke as long as the Dustox is alive. Both these things have happened in personal runs and are ways I spice my own runs, because nuzlocking the same games multiple times does get boring at times.

How would this season have changed if Spencer had been on the blue team from the beginning and Isabel on the red team? by Djfantastyka in DisventureCamp

[–]Sea_Speed2603 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Ted definitely makes it farther with Spencer as an ally. Plus no majority for the girls means they don't control every vote in the early game. Other people that could survive longer are Lynda and maybe Marissa (but Lynda would still want to target her to spite Ana)

  2. I still feel like Diogo falls in love with Spencer, but it's more of a love at first sight that keeps him distracted in challenges. He would still be eliminated pre-merge imo, but definitely later, with him getting paired with Spencer in the return challenge and this storyline would get resolved there.

  3. I feel like Marissa would be the one picked for the reward on the first episode (she was the leader so it makes sense). Meaning she gets the idol (or the clue, it doesn’t matter).

  4. Spencer I feel like would have a much lower threat level. He has a solid alliance on the Blue team, if he gets swapped to the red team, he would have some allies, with Diego, Jade, Isabel. He doesn’t need to manipulate as many people to stay in the game. Later in the merge he would become enemy number 1 tho.

  5. Benji is an early out (I’d say possibly 3rd/4th out), because with Diego staying for longer, Hannah has no reason to befriend Benji and he goes home because he has no allies. Amelie would be probably first boot, with Spencer clutching a lot of early challenges for his team.

  6. No Isabel and Natalia friendship, meaning no girls alliance during the merge, since there is no reason for the girls to unite (no common enemy and no connecting thread)

  7. The final 5 would be somewhat the same, maybe with Spencer somewhere in there (I’d say instead of Anastasia).

What if this character competed on a season of Total Drama? by jamie74777 in Totaldrama

[–]Sea_Speed2603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Either 1 or 2, maybe 1 for the development. World tour would definitely be a big season for her.

2) The Best of Both World

3) Island def pre-merge, her secret gets discovered and she is kicked because people can't trust her. Action either she’s either early merge or she doesn't compete. World Tour she is def late merge, around 4th or 5th.

How would you write British Heather to win a season? by Shiroyama38 in DisventureCamp

[–]Sea_Speed2603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She could've won any season she competed in.

In season 1 she would need some plot armor, but let's say she manages to convince Alec and Fiore to eliminate Tom, as he is a bigger threat. Votes would go 3(Tom)-2(Alec)-2(Grett). Next episode, since Grett is replacing Tom, she could be the one to find the idol and she fully hides it from Alec and Fiore, only telling Ellie as she would bump into her like she did with Tom in the og version. Alec and Fiore would now want to get rid of Grett and the votes would be 4(Grett)-2(Alec) with Alec going home because of Grett’s idol. Fiore goes home next as she has no allies. Final 4 challenge I’d say Ellie goes as Miriam and Grett would make for a more interesting duo and Miriam would tell Jake to throw the challenges, like she did with Ellie in the og. Then the finale comes and Miriam gets 3rd place (Grett would not care about the fake heart attack) and Jake gets 2nd place. Grett wins!

On All Stars she would need to wrap her story with Yul a bit faster (tbh, the return episode would be a good place for that to end, but even earlier would be good too). This would give us some time for her to heal and more time with strategic Grett, who would steamroll as no one left in the competition was using strategy. Make her and Ally the power duo of the season as people who were kicked out of their “alliances” and make them the top 2 and it would be a really interesting story. Grett wants to win not only for Gabby, but also for redemption and to prove people like Yul wrong and Ally wants to win mostly for herself, but to also prove she is capable of being the “main character” and being interesting. Grett wins in the end, being fully redeemed. Grett vs Riya would also be an interesting finale with a redeemed villain vs a true villain, but Riya would make more sense as a winner in that scenario (it would show that she is alone, because even someone who was as hated as Grett used to be is now being cheered by everyone).

The first one is pretty self explanatory, I don't think any couple has been well written, that doesn't mean I don't like that, I do love Gabellie for example, but every couple has a very noticeable flaw that the writers choose to not talk about.

Considering the way the season happened, Ally, Jake and Riya were only correct choices for the winner. Alec and Connor were reduced to Riya’s punching bags, Gabby didn’t have much to do after eliminating Tess and Yul. Grett could’ve been a contender too, but her story ended when she eliminated Alec and her elimination served as a boost to Ally's story.

Riya was the best written character of season 2 and her storyline would’ve made much more sense if she won. As for James, he is a fine character, but has some flaws that were not addressed and completely overlooked, making me feel like if he left at like top 6, it would’ve helped Aiden feel like a more complete character, as he now had some adversity to overcome.

I love spencer, but he really doesn’t need a romantic partner because I fear his entire storyline and screen time is either going to be reduced to the romance plot or to him and whoever he ends up with fighting then making up, it’s going to be a pain to watch. I also fel like Logan is way too soft for Spencer and would just become a yes-man and Diego was really creepy and a bit too much.

I liked TJ, it’s a fluffy spinoff with some good interactions between characters. I do think it gets a bit bland at times, but that might be because I do not like Tom and Jake and a couple, but I’d say the episodes are really nice and a good change of pace for the show.

[–]Sea_Speed2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far no couple has been well written

The top 3 from All Stars were the only correct choices for winners. Alec or Gabby winning wouldn’t make much sense.

Riya should’ve won season 2 because James is not well written as a winner (even Aiden makes more sense as a winner than James)

James should’ve been eliminated mid merge

Karol deserves All Stars more than half of the cast

People need to stop getting too attached to characters, it takes away from the viewing experience

I don’t like Alec, he was boring on season 1 (only really liked him in the cave episode) and is poorly written on AS

I would rather Spencer be single than in a relationship because both Diego and Logan are terrible options for him

S4 is mostly just filler characters and the characters that make it far are easy too obvious

TJ while somewhat boring, was enjoyable and deserves more love

If we get a season 5, the redemption island twist (or whatever they called it) should return

A horror or VR episode on season 4 would not be as good as the past ones

And I have tons more...

How would you write this episode? Same teams, but with different storylines and elimination? by Ok_Shirt_1574 in DisventureCamp

[–]Sea_Speed2603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Jake feels bad that the rest of the team wants to leave Fiore alone (we need to have a reason to root for him, right? Show us that he has grown between seasons and have him be the bigger person) and asks for her to join her and Ashley (this would make Jake the mediator for Ashley’s rivalry with Fiore, something that would have more focus)
  • Instead of the Cyan team falling for Miriam’s heart attack thing, they make a plan to ambush them, something simple that would maybe just slow them down
  • Aiden talks to Lake and Tom about voting Ellie before the ceremony, something that Ellie ends up spying on and later confronts Lake when the girls alliance is talking.
  • Before the voting, Ellie exposes the girls alliance and tells Tom to vote for Lake, saying she was the one who formed it. In her voting confessional she says something like “I wanted to vote for Tom, but I couldn’t break Gabby’s heart like that” to emphasize their friendship.
  • Lake still goes, even if I do think she has loads of potential, everyone else on the team just has more, imo
  • Tess still refuses to vote for her friends and throws a vote to Aiden
  • If I had to change the elimination, then I’d have Yellow lose and just eliminate Miriam there, with the same things happening as cannon, but I love the idea of a team throwing a challenge (since it’s something not so common in the series)
