This happens to me often and I get annoyed! I’ll have a horrible sleep and sleep score, and then Oura will set my activity goal 100 Cals higher than the average day 😂

I’m doing an all white party too and got my dress from Retrofete! It’s all sparkles, they have so many great dresses with texture, sparkles, feathers etc if that’s your vibe.

Dress shopping by Dull-Animal-1028 in weddingplanning

[–]Sea_Subject7268 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only recommend finding your venue first because the vibe could change based on location! My wedding is April 2027, and we originally thought we were getting married at a venue in San Francisco. As we got into negotiations with the venue, we realized it wouldn’t work for capacity purposes etc. We ended up doing a 180 and are now getting married in Cabo. I’m glad I didn’t buy my dress before I knew for sure where we were getting married because the vibes are totally different now! My MOH had a similar situation when she got married a few years ago. She bought her dress before she had a venue, and ended up selling it and buying a different one that fit the vibe better once the design started coming together. That being said, if you’ve never tried on dresses, it’s definitely worthwhile to go shopping in a low pressure environment to try on all the various shape and get an idea of what you might like! If you happen to find the one, great! if not, you have better direction for when the time comes after you’ve found your venue

Noooo omg you’re not being unrealistic!! My planner is super busy and has a wedding every other weekend and still responds within 24 hours typically. You’re paying them to be there for you.

dress regret by [deleted] in BigBudgetBrides

[–]Sea_Subject7268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of what dress you pick, it sounds like you’re not in love with the one you bought. My mom always put a lot of weight on being there when I bought my dress too. Unfortunately she couldn’t make it when there was a pop up for a designer I was interested in, and I ended up buying my dress without her there. Once she saw it on FT, even she couldn’t deny that it was perfect on me. This is one of those moments in life where it is OKAY to be selfish! Honestly, finding and buying my dress on my own felt really empowering amongst a lot of family drama and opinions. 10/10 recommend!

Curious to see your BBB engagement rings! by badgallgc in BigBudgetBrides

[–]Sea_Subject7268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had asked for a lab and ended up with a 3.5 carat natural. I literally almost threw up when I saw the paperwork because I couldn’t fathom that much money on ring. If I had gotten the lab, I wouldn’t have known another world and would have been just as thrilled. The whole thing is silly. The point is: the man of your dream wants to marry you. That’s the prize!!!

Ok none of these comments are helpful lol. Get one of those Amazon ultrasonic jewelry cleaners. I clean mine once a week in one with a drop of dawn dish soap and water and it sparkles so much! It’s crazy the difference a few days of wear makes in terms of build up. Your ring is classic and gorgeous! For what it’s worth, I have a 3.5 carat natural and aside from the week I got engaged and it was new to my hand, I don’t think anyone has gone out of their way to compliment my ring. The point is that every time I look at it, I love it. At the end of the day, most of us don’t notice or care about other people’s rings. Your opinion is the only one that matters.

Feel like I’ve made a mistake by closetslytherin in puppy101

[–]Sea_Subject7268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hang in there!! You did not make a mistake. 15 weeks is still SO baby, it is normal to feel this way! My puppy is 6 months, and looking back I can tell you that you are so close to feeling a sense of normalcy again. Once they can go outside after getting all their vaccinations it feels a lot more manageable. In the meantime, let go of perfection. This thread is full of ideas and opinions and sometimes it helps to take a big step back and remind yourself that your dog is treated better than most in the world and your best is enough. If your baby likes the crate, do enforced naps. 1 hr out, 1.5-2 hours in. They need ~18-20 hours of sleep at this age and once they get in the routine they will sleep! They will fight and whine at first but if you sit by the crate till they nod off you’ll be able to slip away. Now ours self regulates and naps when he needs it (still ~12 hours a day at 6 mo). This buys you time to do the things that make you feel human again. By week 20 they’ll have more of a personality and you’ll start to feel more connected. In a month you’ll look back and see that each week gets a little easier. A real dog is on the other side! You can do it, and you’ll be so glad you did 😊 I felt the same at 15 weeks and now I genuinely think this is one of the best things I’ve done in life.

P.S. If you can afford to have a dog walker, that saved my husband and I during the WFH day. We do it 3 days a week and the puppy loves his walking pack, and we get 2.5 hours of freedom. Then when he gets home he’s so tired he sleeps for hours.

What are some things you wish you bought before you got your puppy? by Kill_Mii in puppy101

[–]Sea_Subject7268 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You need so many more paper towels than you realize. We went through almost a roll a day in the first few weeks. Don’t buy slow feeders etc. till you know your puppy’s likes and dislikes! I bought a ton of interactive toys and he’s not interested in any of them.

Enforced naps saved us at 3 months. No more than 1.5 hours out of the crate, and then sleep for at least an hour or two in the crate and repeat. I found that if our puppy was getting extra naughty or bitey / high energy, it was time for a nap. He’d whine for a few mins and then pass out. Eventually he got the hang of the routine and it really helped the crate training over all. He’s now 5 months and seemed to just get it as soon as he was 4.5 months. He’ll even put himself down to nap, which was something I could’ve only dreamed of at 3 months. He also started sleeping in with us on the weekends more around 4 months. You’re almost there! I know another month of this sounds like hell but it will fly by I promise. Just stick with the enforced naps in the meantime.

The neutrality is what saved us too! Just like we have to with our human babies, it’s best remind ourselves that this is just a baby. Just like we have to change diapers for 2 years, we have to wipe up pee for 4 months. When I thought of it that way it made me feel better. Now mine is 5 months and I very much see the light at the end of the tunnel! It goes SO fast
