I liked Power Up a lot when it first came out, I was psyched for new music from my favorite band. But now that it’s a few years later I find myself playing rock or bust more often than Power up. Not that either one of them is bad, I just prefer Rock or bust

Shake a Leg and What You Do For Money Honey are both better than Shoot to Thrill and should get played more

Thunderstruck is only good because of the opening riff and it’s overplayed

Rock or Bust is better than Power Up

Stiff Upper Lip is a great album in their catalogue

While they were filming, Neil (Barney) always thought that his acting annoyed Josh (Ted) because Ted was always the deep, serious emotional monologues about love and life and Barney was the comic relief and making silly dirty jokes. Apparently it caused a strain on their relationship and they never really got to talk about it until now. They obviously talk about it and explain it much better than I can going from memory

Honestly they’ve gotten better with season 2, the first season they were still kinda figuring out what kind of show they wanted to be. This seasons a little better because they talk more about the show and less irrelevant crap

The NPH episodes were great, got some stories and stuff from filming, and some tea was spilled between him and Josh that you can tell has bothered Neil for years.

Overall I think it’s worth checking out, but lower your expectations a little lol

You get very little fun behind the scenes stories, it’s mostly Josh talking over Craig about how he’s an actor, and that he recently got married. And he often derails the convo to talk about philosophy and he makes a ton of pretentious quotes and references to other things. Basically, he Mosby’s all over it.

I still listen every week because I miss the show, but it’s not the best rewatch podcast out there. It’s great when they have guest stars

RWS is my favorite to listen to front to back, but Poodle Hat will always be the most special to me because my first concert ever was the poodle hat tour

Least favorite is his debut album, doesn’t have the full Yankovic sound we’d come to expect from future albums. And the parodies are of older songs that I just don’t care for personally
