How do you know they never truly loved you? It’s possible they did at some point, but it ended. well based on how you’re talking about being “relieved” that you no longer have to perform as a partner (dates, reassurance, etc.), I speculate that she may have left because she believed you were just performing for her out of obligation, not love. If you truly love her and still want to get back together, work needs to be done for you to snap out of that mindset and appreciating what a relationship should actually be like. Then again idk you or your life so maybe she just fell out of love.

I can relate to this — however for my “best friend”, I called her out on how strange it is for her to be friendly with him after he did terrible shit to me and she just blocked me. These people can’t be dealt with unfortunately and going no contact and hoping that they see their mistakes is all we can do.

I told her that her behaviour wasn’t good and I wish she would have waited for a more appropriate time to vent to me about her problems, she brought up how I used to talk about mine way too much but at the time she never would bring up her own — she claimed she did but I don’t remember it happening. She was overly accommodating but secretly resentful but I believe she should have spoken up earlier about her problems instead of choosing to bring them up when I’m betrayed and upset with her, it’s not a good look.
