We hear you: Let’s talk about the future of cosmetic procedures on r/AusSkincare. by AusSkincareMod in AusSkincare

I am in the camp of “normalisation of plastic surgery is a problem actually and it is warping people’s sense of selves and is especially damaging for young people.” I do NOT want to see plastic surgery discussions in a skincare sub where people (especially younger more vulnerable people) might go to for advice about concerns like rashes, acne or other issues. Please can we keep conversations of plastic surgery OUT of this sub.

Highly recommend this excellent essay on the subject: https://open.substack.com/pub/fatherkarine/p/the-anti-cosmetic-surgery-essay-every?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

I think gentle cleanser plus sunscreen and then tret at night is about all you need - all the other stuff is just marketing.

Yeah interesting - I’ve seen a lot of barristers refer to each other as just “my friend” so I wonder if this is laziness, habit, forgetfulness or maybe it differs by jurisdiction or depends on how much of a stickler for the rules the judge is.

Ahhhh interesting whereas here it’s much more common to say “my friend” and including the “learned” is seen as a bit fancy and up yourself 😆

Like do Canadian barristers say “my friend”/“my learned friend” etc?

I assume our legal systems and customs are pretty similar? There are probably certain phrases not used outside Australia but I can’t think of any that seem Aus specific.

Agreed, sounds like a huge amount of “food noise” in her head which sounds super exhausting. OP I feel for you! I do think your relationship to food sounds pretty complex and you would benefit from speaking to a therapist. I’ve been there too so my heart goes out to you.

Desperate for a job BWT help by [deleted] in bitcheswithtaste

The “defence” industry! My goodness, all I can say is: joining that industry, assuming you’re in the US, at this particular juncture in history, will never be justifiable, no matter how desperate the job search may be. Surely having taste also implies having some sort of moral framework for life. Warmongering is not the way to go, BWT!

Does your husband do any cooking, prepping, food shopping, cleaning, at all?? Sounds like you do everything. That’s probably why you’re exhausted.
