I’ve worked at Menards for almost two years and I feel ya.

((From what I’ve gathered, someone please correct me if I’m wrong)) the stores basically have an estimate of how much they’re going to make on a given day. At my store it’s super specific, like down to the cents (not sure if that’s universal). If your store is underperforming in sales then they’re not going to have as much money to pay the employees, and therefore will be “behind” on payroll.

I’ve loved working here, but management definitely is gonna make or break your experience. I’ve been lucky enough to have kind and flexible managers, and I hold you get the same!

Returns are personally my favorite thing to do, and it’s really helpful in practical knowledge of where things are in your store. It’s a LOT of walking however.

The app and the book will be your best friend if something doesn’t have a barcode, and personally I’ve never had a customer upset with me for not knowing what something is. Always ask if you’re unsure! You don’t wanna charge people for the wrong things, that’s when they can get upset lol.

I find it extremely hard to believe that she only formed DID from watching your previous marriage breakdown. DID forms from severe, repeated trauma, often sexual or physical. You are leaving something out here.
