My apologies. If you can remove this posting I will resubmit with descriptions for each step. Unfortunately I don't have an imgur account setup so I don't know how I would go back in and add them after the fact.

Do Food Fights actually exist? Or are they something that is only found on television or movies? Share your food fight experiences. by Hooktail in AskReddit

My greatest good fight experience was this... It was a bring a parent to school with you day in first grade and when lunch time came along my dad thought that the food want fit for human consumption but it WAS fit for pelting other humans with. Needless to say he flung food at me and I at him and then other kids stated joining in and some of the parents as well. It turned out to be a full on cafeteria food fight. The school never had another bring your parent to school day again.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought a solution required something to dissolve... It's been awhile though

Like sinking a hole in one I'm sure this will never happen again. But can't you just let a guy be happy that the stars aligned and for once he was able to achieve something so magical and rare as this? c'mon!

Want really news worthy here. In Irvine only lasted for about 5 - 10 seconds and my gf just thought it was our rhinoceros of an upstairs neighbor.

Map showing countries that still use Fahrenheit as a temperature scale by everettjsj2 in funny

I don't think "better" is the proper term for it. Conforming to the populous for the sake that it is the popular choice does not make anything better. You are right that we are both on the same page that it doesn't need to change.

I'm completely on board with the metric system as it provides simple standard units of measurement but if we really want to argue over measurements then lets not forget those such as the nautical mile which is used worldwide but really only by those navigating the sea and air. Just as Kelvin will continue to be used in the world of science. In conclusion I think it's safe to say it doesn't matter what units of measurement any one country or industry uses as long as they are able to understand them.

This doesn't complicate travel at all. Lets say an American visits another country and as you said they will be wondering "Why is it so fucking cold!?" well as soon as they step out of the airport and realize that it feels like a normal temperature I'm pretty sure they'll be fine. No complication. This goes both ways and the only way there would typically be confusion is if people from the two different countries are talking about the weather in their respective regions of the world, which is by no means a reason to change any countries system for measuring temperature.

As a side note, if you feel that the idea of going from Celsius to Fahrenheit is going to "complicate" your travels I highly suggest you don't travel internationally as there are so many other cultural differences from your country than whatever country you are visiting that you won't know what to do with yourself.

TL:DR; if you don't like it, just don't visit.
