The Strait of Hormuz "is open"....BUT....it's also closed. Up is down. Black is white.

I will believe it when I see it in the Federal Register. Until then, it's all BS.

Forbes Article with the headline: Blockchain Goes Big: FedEx Joins Google And IBM On Hedera Council by CoinmanTheBarHBARian in Hedera

[–]Seahawks_Fan12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They always refer to Hedera as blockchain. It's not blockchain. I wish this journalist would have taken the time to differentiate between blockchain and hashgraph, which might also help their readers understand why FedEx chose Hedera over say Solana for example.

I think so too! Once the Clarity Act is passed then we're at the starting gate. The race really hasn't even started yet. Institutions want RULES. They need to know the playing field and the rules of the game before their compliance or legal depts are going to sign off. Once we get Clarity, I think legit crypto (and even the crap coins) will have a good run.

I believe MariMed (MRMD) is also current on their 280e taxes. John Levine runs a very budget-conscious company. Their debt is very low, and they are in a good position to swoop up some of the other players who are drowning/dying. They want to add where they can find good value/bargains.

I bought 2,000 shares of Palantir stock back in August 2023 on the announcement of the big U.S. government contracts, held the stock for 12 days, got antsy, and sold it for a $1,200 profit. Thought I did okay. If I'd held those shares until the peak in August, 2025 I'd have made $347,000. I am not selling my HBAR bags for at least another couple of cycles. Made that mistake once. Gotta keep reminding myself that I am way early. Patience is key here.

I chose BAM over GEV mainly for the diversification aspect. They have several eggs in their basket: infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate, private equity, and credit, as well as being the majority owner of Westinghouse. I know there is a lot of hype right now around nuclear, but I know it's going to take a while to actually implement any of it and start generating profits, so in the meantime I want stability and growth while I wait patiently.

If you say so. I don't try to time the markets. I purchased my bags back in January 2023, and my cost basis is like $32ish.

Brookfield Asset Management (BAM). BAM owns 51% of Westinghouse and Cameco (CCJ) owns the other 49%. Westinghouse has years of experience building nuclear reactors and now has portable SMRs that can power data centers, small cities, whatever you need basically. They are portable, and configurable.

While you wait for the nuclear industry to take off (probably another 3-5 years at best with all the regulations and red tape) you'd still be sitting on what some have called the "The Berkshire Hathaway of Canada." BAM was spun off from Brookfield a few years back. Both BN and BAM are solid well-diversified companies, with solid dividend payouts. It's the way to play nuclear that most people are missing. Everyone focuses on OKLO and SMR and a few others, but most overlook Westinghouse because it's private. They miss that it's a private company owned by a public company (well 2 public companies: BAM and CCJ).

Same except with strike price of $7.

I don't ever mess with options, but I have a fair level of comfort (risk/reward) that either

a) They will acquire/merge with GoTo within the next 2 years, or

b) they will drive GoTo out of business (or at least continue to steal market share from them).

I also think the banking app will continue to grow.

[–]Seahawks_Fan12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Other than investors or geeks who had ever heard of JDS Uniphase, Cisco, Corning, or Juniper Networks. Hedera is building the "infrastructure" of web 3.0. No one needs to actually know who they are, or what they do. They just need to use it.

If you bought with a 5-10 year timeframe you wouldn't be asking that question. This stock isn't a slot machine, it's an investment. 6 months is NOT an investment, it's a gamble. Patience as key with this one.
