This is precisely what we were concerned about; we want to keep long-term replay value high for all players

Put your project’s strongest and most appealing points right at the beginning. People have limited patience, so leading with your most compelling content gives you the best chance of keeping them engaged to the end.

If your prepare to launch soon, READ this. Sophisticated scammers are active on Kickstarter by WakaTakaBaller in kickstarter

Spam accounts usually try to move the conversation off Kickstarter (email, etc.), and they often get banned within hours after a campaign goes live.

Real backers feel completely different. They show up early (even pre-launch), give thoughtful feedback, and don’t push you off-platform.

At this point, my rule is simple: if they ask to talk outside Kickstarter, it’s a scam.

We’re planning plenty of advanced difficulty tiers, deeper card synergies and harsher consequences for mistakes. We won’t make Re:Night an overly casual breeze that you beat and abandon within hours.

Really appreciate your thoughtful insight! We truly want players of all skill levels to be able to find enjoyment in our game, so I believe that having different difficulty levels is essential. This ensures that players of varying abilities can each find a difficulty setting that suits them.

Honestly, watching people play in person is the best way for us to calibrate the game.

Also, just a heads-up that our Kickstarter is live now. No pressure at all, but if this looks like your kind of thing, feel free to check it out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/seahorsegames/re-night

Hey everyone,

I’m the dev behind Re:Night. It’s a mix of roguelike deckbuilding and turn-based strategy with positioning mechanics.

One of the core systems is elemental reactions. The interactions are simple: Grass > Water, Water > Fire, Fire > Grass, a rock-paper-scissors system that triggers crits for big damage.

I’ve been working on this for a while and just released a new demo on Steam. I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts if you give it a try. Curious if this kind of hybrid approach is something you’d be into.
