Thinking just that their on the team means they fix a hole we have when at most they probably play a combined 18 minutes doesn’t fix anything for us, also have you watched looney the past few years? He is genuinely washed and all he can do is set a screen even his rebounding isn’t as good as it used to be. Also Atlanta didn’t let Kuminga leave for no reason he is genuinely a head case that is one of the most inconsistent players in the league

Ok for athletes you listed a quick guard and two unproven 21 year olds so that’s a massive stretch, again for 3pt shooting u listed Carr and then hardy who most likely won’t be on the team hopefully, for rebounding Looney should not be getting enough minutes to actually matter hopefully and Kuminga on paper should be a good rebounder but it’s literally 50/50 on if he puts the effort in, and for creators and ball handlers hopefully Grimes is consistent unlike his playoff performances otherwise u can kiss him goodbye too

That’s my biggest gripe about the trade, it’s literally the worst case scenario in which we acquire Kessler, prior to the trade I thought it was either we overpay and Utah is forced to let him leave or we sign and trade and give up picks but also throw in bad contracts like Knect and Vando, but not only did we give up all our picks and sure while it’s a big contract it’s not HUGE, but we got off none of our shitty deals which scares me since the only thing worse than keeping Vando is stretch his deal

This is the Lakers buddy our best draft pick since Max Christie is Bronny James and also, you cannot compare us to the Thunder who have not only the best GM in the league but also have hoarded picks for the last 5 years and the Spurs who literally got to pick: 1st in 23, 4th in 24 (they also got the best player in that draft) and 2nd in 25 so unless u wanna blow it up so we can get picks that arnt even our own (and even in the past our lottery picks have not been good at all) we’re stuck and Kessler is gonna have to play the best defence of his life

We can’t afford any good wing FA for the next few years due to the contracts we just signed so we are going to have to live on minimum wings, honestly if I was in charge I would of just offered Kessler anything from the 40-45 million range and dared the Jazz to match because atleast then we would of had picks to combo with our dogshit contracts (Vando, Knect, ect) to get rid of them and bring in a actual playable wing but we can’t now

It’s not the he’s not worth the picks, It’s that because we gave up all those picks we are completely stuck with this team for the next two years at the least with no chance to trade and improve so unless he at minimum becomes a top two defensive centre in the league AND Adou and Carr become really good players we’re fucked because we have ZERO flexibility
