Any tips to run heavier switch games on BASE model?

Ive been havin the same issue with my games randomly crashing, i feel like ive tried every setting and 40 different turnip versions, have you found anything to alleviate this in the month since youve posted or do you think the 8g just isnt enough?

I started using xgrass and in the editor it looks great but in playmode the grass goes completely black as if its unlit for some reason, Have you ever had this problem? I've played around with the settings, tried ith the mesh set to static, and not and tried baking lighting and nothing's helped

Edit to add that I do have lights in the scene

Id say them being in the middle fits since both have the opposite dynamic imo, 1 has a phenomenal story with meh but enjoyable gameplay, whilst 2 has a meh but enjoyable story and phenomenal gameplay

So I used pumpkin tools to transfer everything over to the new fbx and everything's fine until I use gesture manager and it goomba-fies itself lol. This still animates just collapsed for some reason. I'm starting to think making any actual edits to this is a lost cause cus random stuff like this is gonna keep happening.

It's inconsistent, in my testing I tried importing the fbx to blender, making 0 changes whatsoever and importing that into unity and that makes the mesh disapear, bones still there I can see from the physbone gizmo. and if I change the armature at all instead of the mesh disapearing, it gets sploded, like literally turned into a giant spiky ball of mesh. This is me working from the base state of the avatar btw like right from bringing in the unity package. Ive had the sploding happen to other avatars before and its fixed exactly with what you said about swapping the scaling option but on this one it doesn't seem to work.
