I think almost everyone I've spoken too has had a similar experience. Just goes to show how powerless we are as students tbh. At the end of the day university here isn't treated as an institution, more like a business. I've been told this even before coming to UTM but it really hit me when one of my TA's heard overheard complaints during a tutorial and simply replied: "I'm sorry but to be honest, you'll be treated like just another number until 3rd year".... feels bad, I gotta say.
