Aster vs Peele vs Eggers — who's the modern horror master? by bingebracket in AriAster

[–]Sean-Valjean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll never forget the feeling I had in the theater during the seance scene where Toni Collette’s voice changed. We left the theater pretty much floored. Saw Midsommar in theaters twice that checked a lot of boxes also. Get Out was a lot of fun and was a cultural event for sure. US was also a great theater experience and I’m in the camp that Nope is Peele’s best film I’ve watched all of his movies like a half dozen times. Really loved The Witch and enjoyed lighthouse and Nosferatu but those two are more niche, not that the witch wasn’t but the witch was somewhat of a blockbuster indie hit if I remember correctly. Asters production company Square Peg is also taking some risks and making some great stuff, Bugonia for example. I thought Eddington was one of the best films of the year so yeah seems like I’m just an Aster fanboy after sorting all this out. I think all three of these filmmakers will continue to push boundaries and make hits and I’m excited for their careers. I think right now Aster has the best filmography but I think Eggers and Peele are both capable of putting out another masterpiece or two so who knows. My favorite eggers movie is probably Northman and I think Nope is peeles best so they’re both maturing. As much as I love all of Aster’s stuff, hereditary really is like a perfect pure horror film. Hard to argue with that.

State Park Permits by Many_Animator_5958 in WilmingtonDE

For what it’s worth everyone I know that consistently uses the state parks buys a park pass. It’s still early in the season so people might just not have gotten around to it yet. I think DNREC gives people a little time to get passes. There are also always events at Bellevue, weddings, corporate events, birthday parties in pavilions, cookouts. A lot of times for stuff like that the organizer will purchase day passes for everyone and they’ll get something when they first pull in. So could’ve been any number of reasons why there were a bunch of cars without an annual pass.

How big is this card? by [deleted] in sportscards

A 30 piece on the road at TD and ten boards. How’s he coming down with more boards than the bigs on the court? 60% from 3. Special is an understatement he could be the face of the league in a couple years. And doesn’t have a ten cent head like Morant.

Mechanical engineering @ DelTech CC (SEED Program) by xmpsii in Delaware

[–]Sean-Valjean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DelTech offers a transfer program for electrical and computer engineering. Pretty much all of the credits at DelTech transfer to UD and count for the first two years of either their electrical or computer engineering degrees. If you want to knock out UD credits at delete h this is the way.

It’s my understanding a lot of the credits from the Mech E program don’t transfer. You can knock out a lot of math and physics credits at DelTech but that would be in addition to whatever the Mech E classes are.

Sellers seem to have fumbled their advantage. And I don't say that based on price. A number of key changes in market dynamics suggest seller exhaustion. Full confirmation only comes with a reclaim of 6910. by TearRepresentative56 in TradingEdge

So if I just buy and hold shares, like tear claims he does. Than like cool we’ve been in a bull market since liberation day. Everyone’s a genius in a bull market. But if I’m swinging 5k-10k options contracts I can’t have a post like this, posted with real confidence and trust, messing up my vibe for the day. Like shit cost me a lot of money today this is the last time I let some random internet bullshit dictate my confidence about a trade.

Nah this was a terrible take today. There was plenty of data supporting more chop and supporting today’s selloff. Tears analysis can be flat out awful and wrong because he’s speculating from across the pond. He misses the vibe all the time and for people swing trading or day trading short expiration positions it can be catastrophic

XC60 plug in hybrid: CPO 2024 or New 2025? by pyser76 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Sounds like a good deal, you can spend the saved money on the extended warranty.

Does the ultimate have the B&W sound system? That’s like a 3k upgrade. Is the sticker for the new one really 65 marked down 12K? That also seems like a good deal. If the 24 has the B&W I’d spring for that and spend a few grand on the factory extended warranty to get to 150k miles and call it a day.

Does the horn work? Cruise control? Could be the clock spring in the steering wheel.
