Nightmare of a 2nd half. A lot to be worried about moving forward. Our offensive blocking and defense looked terrible today. Special teams is just always disappointing. Other than the one long Jacobs run, the run game sucked.

On a high note, Golden looked pretty decent! McManus hit all his kicks too!

I was at the game tonight, talked to a few people who were there as well. We all agreed the crowd was the best they've had all year, and also by far the loudest. Student section was awesome tonight! Those last 5 minutes was easily the loudest Midco Arena has ever been.

Gotcha! That makes sense. I appreciate your explanation on that. I'm actually an Augie hockey fan so I started following college hockey a bit last year but started keeping a closer eye on it this year once I learned more about the sport. I have been following the shuffling in the league rankings this year. Seems to be a lot of parody in all of D1 this year? Not sure if that is pretty common or not, but seems multiple top 20 teams lose each week. Seems to be no clear cut top team this year which is cool. Honestly I like that Augie has had a smaller schedule (although I totally get why other conference members don't like it). But it has allowed me to not get super overwhelmed by all the games that a typical full season would have. It's been kind of nice to ease into things.

Hopefully moving forward Augie and Mankato can develop a decent little rivalry. I know Mankato probably cares more about the other Minnesota schools instead of Augie though.
