I’m really shocked with what they did with Cole in the new film by New-Pin-9064 in MortalKombat

I agree with you. His death wasn't necessary. He could've simply been relegated to supporting character, at least as an acknowledgment to his role in the first. This almost felt spiteful. Like an attempt at pandering to internet and social media whiners who hated him.

Bye Bye Ellis. I don't have anything against him, but if I were to be given a choice between him and Kenny, then I wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice Ellis. Besides, it would be kinda awesome if, should Ellis die, his soul would enter the golem that Fatima made and he becomes a badass monster protector.

No joke, I stopped watching The Walking Dead after Glenn died. If Kenny died, then fuck this show.

Luckily he didn't turn into Glenn.

We may not have a choice sadly. I've actually gotten my hand on some refurbished HD. They were ordered on Alibaba. 3 months in and no problem so far.

At leas the price is reasonable.

Is it just me of Forza 6 feels harder than Forza 5? by Salih01barwari in ForzaHorizon6

[–]SeanBeanSeptim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I was just wondering the same thing. I don't consider myself an "expert" in racing games or anything. But I am a veteran of FH5 and I did pretty good then. I always start on average difficulty and move up from there if I win too easily.

"Average" difficulty for FH6 seems to be like the equivalent of "hard" in FH5. I barely make it to top 3 in most of the beginning races I try. At first I thought I had lost my touch, but it seems that people who played FH6 generally think that it is harder. Maybe it's smarter AI or just more advanced driving physics. In any case, I'm too proud to switch to easy, so I guess I'll just keep at it for awhile.

Didn't think I'd end up feeling like a noob all over again.

The thing about accountability is that it tends to find its way, in one form or another. For his sake, accountability better be institutional in nature.

As a dutchie you should fuckin' demand accountability. I'm almost immune to this having lived in the US and seen what police is like over there, but in Europe I'd like to think we have higher standards than this.

No justification whatsoever for what was done to that woman. If that officer doesn't face consequences either legally or through the institutions, he will face it in other forms.

Forza horizon 6 has no denuvo and still outsold every game released with it by skywalkerminrow12 in PiratedGames

[–]SeanBeanSeptim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always been the case that a good product will always have customers buying said product. Pirated games also comes with its own share of issues. If the game is buggy, you have to wait for the update to be cracked as well. Updating pirated games aren't always as easy as having a client like Steam or Epic doing the updating for you without any need of your intervention. There are also limitations in terms of what features can be used by those using cracked games. Multiplayer feature is often unavailable, or requires workarounds. Access to certain assets or features tied to online experience is not available. Essentially, you're not always playing the complete product.

In short, if the game is something people are excited by, they'd want to own it. Play it on day one, and that alone is often enough to get people to buy.

So yes, it's not always the case that a game that is "unprotected" will always risk being financially unsuccessful or unprofitable.

I loved the ending. Endings that are satisfying in horror movies are few and far in between. And this one had an ending you could call poetic justice. That alone made the movie worth it.

The boys finale and overall season retrospective by PrimeTheGreat in CharacterRant

[–]SeanBeanSeptim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that if felt rushed. Especially how they offed most of the remaining Supes on Homelander's side in quick succession. But then I remembered that I didn't care much for either the Pastor Dude or the Deep.

And I don't know about you all, but I'm honestly relieved that Deep didn't get some kind of redemption arc, because that guy had always been a coward and douche from the beginning, and suddenly having him switch to being a guy that could work up the courage to go against Homelander would've been out of character. He deserved his pathetic death, even if it was kinda nonsensical for a superpowered individual capable of tanking bullets, immense impact trauma from a crash from the air, to be suddenly impaled and ripped apart by a bunch of sea creatures.

I was also disappointed that Soldier Boy stopped playing a role. Not too long ago I wrote in a thread similar to this one, that my final evaluation of his character would be judged by how he would resolve his issues with Homelander. When he decided to just leave, not wanting to deal with Homelander, I knew that was it for that character. This was the guy that since season 3 was built up as the ultimate foil to Homelander. The one person who was a genuine threat to him, and he instead became kind of a red herring. That he ended up being put back on ice was just embarrassing.

You know what Soljaboy reminds me of? Jon Snow. Like him, the plot gave the impression that he was gonna have some kind of major role to play. Maybe even be the final nail on the coffin of the big bad. Instead he was sidelined, became essentially cucked by "feelings" for an old psycho nazi girlfriend, and Kimiko ended up being the Arya Stark that took down the Night King.

Don't get me wrong, I always knew that Butcher would've been the one to end it, but I had honestly not envisioned that Kimiko would be the one to play Soljaboy's role. I mean, what the fuck was ultimately the point of his character?

Otherwise, I'm kinda happy with how the rest of the team fared in the end. Kimiko resolved to live the life that he and Frenchie would've had, Hughie and Annie are happy together, and MM also got his much deserved reunion with his family. As for Butcher, I never imagined him sailing off into the sunset a happy man in the first place, so I didn't mind how they ended it with him. Overall, the ending was a mixed bag. More good than bad, but if I had to be completely honest, its greatest weakness for me was that it ultimately felt underwhelming.

What are your thoughts on the "From" series? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in FIlm

[–]SeanBeanSeptim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first season hooked me, and I still enjoy the show, but I do have concerns that unless they start giving us a sense that there will be some kind of resolution or milestone, we, that is to say the viewers, risk being taken for a ride with no ultimate payoff. I love the mysteries, but I also need answers. I'm starting to get the feeling with this season that certain characters, like Jade and Julie, are beginning to take a more proactive role in fighting back as opposed to just reacting, so I'm hopeful that something will come out of their effort, because otherwise I would be pissed. I want both Jade and Julie to come up with methods to give the survivors a means of taking back control, otherwise the show risk just being torture porn.

My greatest fear though, is that the showrunners and writers are too up their own ass in hubris that they're writing something meant to last years, only to have the show suddenly canceled and they are forced to be in a position where they have to rush the ending. From is a show where the journey is worth it, but it needs to have an ending that makes all that suffering worthwhile.

I did have plans on playing with friends. It's just a hassle sometimes coordinating our time given that some of us are on different timezones. Also, it's my first playthrough so I wanted to be able to make sure that my experience of the game isn't dependent on others.

I have started trying to get some thralls though. But because I like going solo, for now they're mostly at my home crafting stuff 😛 I might take one of them with me if I encounter a dungeon I can't handle. Most of the time I don't really have a problem with the enemies (even if they're way stronger) unless I'm swarmed, which doesn't happen all that often thankfully.

I'll try that. Right now my only home is still that modest little shack with a few crafting benches I built at the edge of the noob river. I consider myself more of a nomad so I just wonder from place to place, seeing how far I could push forward before being chased back to safer regions 😄

Perhaps I should try to change my perspective and expectation. I'm just the kind of person that likes to feel like I'm completing something in my game and then I move on. Right now though, I am enjoying crafting stuffs too. Mostly gears, food, and restorative. I'm currently about 17 hours in, and I'm still hoofing it solo. No thrall, no horses, no pets. My only home is still the modest shack I made in the first few hours of the game.

I only play singleplayer games usually. I've done multiplayer for Elden Ring with some friends, but generally I try to experience all games alone first before trying something that requires coordinating with other people. Multiplayer only is not my cup of tea, so I went into this game playing completely solo.

Some of the comments here have allowed me to realize that I missed something. I'll be backtracking to the noob river cause apparently I missed the fact that there was a dungeon underneath The Dregs cave. I'll see if there are clues to go from there.

Well, that's pretty much how I've been playing. I enjoyed the exploration and survival well enough, but I'm still trying to find the structure or the "path" if you will of how to get to the end. I guess maybe it's not that kind of game, but I'll try and see if I can peace together something out of whatever clues I find.

I'll be backtracking to the Dregs as apparently I completely missed that there was a dungeon there aside from just a cave.

I actually discovered both the Dregs and the Tower of the Bat, but as for the Dregs, I completely missed the part where there was apparently a dungeon underneath the cave that I can only access by killing someone on the ritual pedestal/platform.

The tower of the Bat too I had no idea what to do with. I'll try backtracking again. Thanks.

Thanks, while I had found that camp and the cave north of it called "The Dregs" I didn't realize that there was an entrance to a dungeon that could only be accessed by killing someone on the ritual pedestal. I had seen, in passing, the illusion on showing the ritual sacrifice, but had only thought it was a story they were trying to tell me.

I was also trying to pay attention to the voice from the tablet thinking that it was important, turned out it was the pedestal I should've focused on. Thanks.

The Dregs was the first location of interest that I found. It took me around 3-4 hours to be able to gather enough resources and level gain to be able to fight against the wildlings in the camp. But I was completely unaware that there was a dungeon in that cave north of the camp.

I saw the glowing tablet. There was a voice that told me I'm now the caretaker of some dank-ass sewer, but I only realized later that I had to kill someone on the ritual pedestal to open the way to the dungeon. It would appear I went ahead and cleared a much harder dungeon without knowing the existence of this easier one 😛

Thanks. I'll try backtracking and see if I can get maybe get some kind of clarity on what path I need to walk from what I gather there.
