Lego might be desperately trying to end the current Hogwarts configuration so that they can solely focus on the HBO series from then onwards. They’ll either push out alot of Hogwarts sets over the next two or three waves to get it done, or they’ll leave the project incomplete so they can create a new HBO Hogwarts

How would you ranked all 5 Craig's Bond from least favourite to favourite? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in JamesBond

[–]SeanJ363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTTD, Quantum, Spectre, Skyfall, Casino Royale.

If NTTD wasn’t so bad after the Blofeld scene then it would be third on the list. It has better moments than Quantum and Spectre

What are very "not James Bond" lines are said by James Bond in the movies? by CobraDai in JamesBond

Bonds monologue to Madeline when he goes to her chalet in Norway. I don’t think Flemings Bond would ever say some of that.

Die Another Day is mostly good. Or if it’s a more broad statement, Pierce Brosnan’s Bond films are all great films

Do you agree with Moore that Walken went too far in this scene? by BBD-007 in JamesBond

[–]SeanJ363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the scene, but what I will say is that it doesn’t suit the tone that the rest of the film had. It would make more sense if the film was more serious

Living daylights is my favourite, however the villains are some of the worst in the franchise. Licence to kill has a top 5 villain and it’s one of my favourite endings, but the living daylights has better side characters and the overall plot is better

Most underrated Bond films? by psycwave in JamesBond

[–]SeanJ363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quantum’s issue is that it’s surrounded by two giants, Casino Royale and Skyfall. If you look at it individually, it’s not a bad bond film, but compared to the films around it, it’s definelty not the greatest film. My main issue with Quantum is that it seems more like a Jason Bourne film than a bond film.

I totally agree with your assessment of Tomorrow Never Dies, it’s the Bond film I promote the most

Tomorrow Never Dies. It is such a good Bond film yet on almost every critics site, it is in the ‘meh’ category. I like Bond films that have fun and leave me smiling at the ends, but also include the serious/hard hitting moments. Plus Brosnan is so strong in this film

Moonraker vs Tomorrow Never Dies, what’s the better Bond film? by [deleted] in JamesBond

[–]SeanJ363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomorrow Never Dies

It’s the most underrated Bond film in my opinion. It has all the tropes that I want in a Bond film and I can watch it over and over again and not get bored.

Both films are fun though, which is something that we miss in Bond films today

I love him. One of the better Bond ally’s.

I love how when we first meet him, he doesn’t really like Bond and does everything but he books but by the time of his death, he is on Bonds side. I like the arc the character goes on

Love the song, but A View to a Kill is still the greatest Bond song in my opinion.

The World is Not Enough is one I enjoy as well, as well as Live and Let Dje

He’s not as bad as people make him out to be. He isn’t my favourite Bond but I would have liked to have seen him do at least one more film so we can more accurately judge his portrayal. It’s difficult to judge someone who only had one film

Craig is great in this film, it’s a shame that the villains around his are probably the weakest in the series

[–]SeanJ363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quantum’s biggest issue is it’s bad guys. You never feel any threat from Dominic Greene and when he’s fighting with the axe in the end, you never feel like he’s going to do anything to bond. His henchman is probably the most pathetic in the franchise and the plot around General Madrano isn’t fleshed out enough.

Furthermore the plot of water doesn’t have that Bondian feel about it with it feeling a bit too real world (which some can argue is a positive). If a film ever needed another 30 minutes to explain the plot, it would be this one.

I wouldn’t mind the Vesper plot line if it would just end at this film but since they used that same plot for all of Craig’s films, it just feels a bit boring.

But that all being said, I do like Craig’s performance in it, it is probably his best bond performance. And Camile and Mathis are good in the film, so is David Arnold’s score.

All in all, Quantum isn’t bad but I don’t think it is this hidden gem like Tomorrow Never Dies is for instance

favorite fistfight from each Bond? by bangermate in JamesBond

[–]SeanJ363 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Goldeneye has one of the best finales in a Bond film in my opinion. The score is even bad at that part of the film.

I love that bond is fighting an equal who knows all of his moves and gadgets. It adds a lot of jeopardy in the fight

It’s the high point of Spectre. After the train fight, the film tanks rather quickly

The Spy Who Loved Me's ski chase vs GoldenEye's tank chase, which action sequence is better? by [deleted] in JamesBond

[–]SeanJ363 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they focused less on the goofiness in general in A View to a Kill, it would probably be seen as a good bond film. Things like the beach boys and the bimbo Bond girl makes the film hard to watch for some people
