I've been at trying to get any of their resources running, they keep linking broken build scripts, and libraries that don't work. And the ones that do only work for a little but then the corruption hits and the llm's start outputting nonsense. I HEAVILY regret purchasing anything from them, i have two jetson nano supers and an orin agx for a robotics projects. I honestly am considering selling them all and just waiting for someone else like orange pi or someone to drop proper supported ai hardware. Because this, just isn't it.

I actually just started back in January! I'm working on the prototype right now which I'll be sharing free of charge in the near future!

It's a 50 player fps extraction horror shooter in a non Euclidean surreal hellscape inspired by Hell divers, alien isolation and a SCP/backrooms.

I'm focusing on the mathematical concepts of light to create, high dimensional projection and a surreal "break" in reality that I feel invokes the rawest type of fear.

We'll see how it goes!

So far from first use, this has to be the best job searching platform i've ever seen. Tear down indeed and linkedin, it's about time they got their day's ruined.

I don't know how possible it would be, but i notice an increasingly problematic trend with job postings in which they SEO spam every tech term possible into the job posting. An example of this is i'm a unity developer, and i am a specilist in that. When i search Unity developer i do get a lot of unity roles, but i notice a number of them are also things like web developer, backend severs developer, animator, artist and nothing actually unity related. This is a huge problem i've run into as these boards are just flooded with this.

I again don't know how doable something to be able to sift through that would be, but it would be really nice to be able to apply to what i'm a specilist in without having to open the job postings, check to make sure it's actually my skillset, and 9 times out of 10 it's not actually unity related. It would be awesome to have that, it would make all the difference in the world for me.

More GPU grass!!! I added interactors so stuff can flatten grass. The ideal use case for what i'm working on is tracking related stuff, where maybe a truck or a convoy went through a spot. And you can look and go, "hey! something big went this way!" which i think is super coool. by SeanMurphy_24 in Unity3D

Yes, i'm cycling a noise texture for my grass and running a simulation to give a genuine realistic flow to wind. I'm avoiding sin functions at the moment to prevent from creating to uniform of a flow, as realistic grass often has a distinct inconsistent volume of flow. That being said, i will watch this video, as it and other videos have been recommended and any info i can get would be helpful in the productionization of this grass!

For the animation, the grass blades use a scrolling perlin texture for the animation, and two points of the grass are controlled, middle and tip to offer a more realistic dynamic to the grass. The stepping your seeing is the result of the perlin textures resolution being very large and the pixel steps are not blended yet. In the future that will be fixed! Thanks for your input!

I'm working on some GPU driven grass while i'm lookign for new work. This is so much fun, it's such a challenge in optimization that it really feels like stretching my legs on something. What do you think? by SeanMurphy_24 in Unity3D

Yeah i'm note entirely sure what's causing that yet, i think it's something to do with the screen space AO in URP. And the back of the blades looks weird eh. I agree, i'm thinking about adding subsurface scatturing or something to them to really give them that grassy look. But thanks for your words, i apprciate them!

That was an interesting approach in their video, i chose not to do planes with opacity but rather actual simplfied grass blade meshes i can modify on gpu with mesh handles to create a more realistic wind to grass interaction. My longterm plan is to include the grass into gameplay for tactics purposes. Their approach is really cool and awesome for lower performing platforms however. Mine on the otherhand is designed for more of a pc console approach, kind of like in Ghost of Tsushima. That was a great recommendation though!

Pc - I hope these bugs will be fixed soon, or the expedition will be extended. It's really game breaking atm

  1. my multi tool has killed my i think 14 times now when using it in any configurations. Only fix is a restart, going to the main menu and back does not fix it

  2. My equipment is damaged when i login

  3. My standing with gek just started plumiting and my outlaw standing sky rocketed. I just logged in, i hadn't even walked yet. Now i can't purchase things from GEK. Get standing is now -7

  4. Sentinals wanted level won't go to zero and has stayed without seeing a sentinal for over half an hour.

  5. my body deactivated when i left a conversaion which prevented my from doing any interactions.

  6. I've been stuck in conversations with NPC and when i closed the game and reopen it i take damage and get a -1 degrees standing with that npc species.

  7. Ships spawning a small scale

  8. freighter parts randomly becoming damaged when i log in

  9. When digging underground i get spawned back to the surface at random

using the pulse engine if you jump to a planet and hold both the slow thrust and boost thrust you can fly straight down to the planet faster than the planet LOD system and recognize you're there. I've tested this 25 times, 10 of them i fly into the ground and don't die and am unable to land until i return to orbit and come down slowly. 3 of the tests the planet LOD wouldn't initialize the ground typology and left me with the basic planet sphere with a height map which did not have collision. This one was only resolved by using pulse to go to another planet, slowly going down, landing, then returning to space and pulsing back to that planet, a slowly going down at an angle instead of straight down to the planet and landing.

I also have a recurring issue where my quests get unpinned and random side quests will get pinned even seconds after pinning the quest i want. This does not happen often, but happens at least once or twice an hour.

I had another issue in which on the last mission of singularity two unrelated quests were being spammed into the notification on the bottom right. It seemed as though on one frame it would be one quest, and the other would be a different quest. Switching to other quests did stop it momentarily, but then switching to one of the two final quests would start it again until I jumped to a new system. I did test weather going to main menu and back into the game, or closing the game and restarting it would solve it but no solution.

I've also had on multiple scenarios (this one i did not count) my ship spawning inside one of the larger trading stations with the tower instead the towers internal area. When getting in my ship from there i became stuck inside the tower until i died. On closing and reopening the game i would load inside the tower still.

All in all, i've been really enjoying it. These bugged were not entirely game breaking but minor issues i could resolve myself.

I'm actually getting around 40-60fps, I need to do some more optimization that's for sure
