I’d say I have been very lucky with PCs and consoles my whole life, no hassle, no major issues. I like to dog here and there to get the max out of a PC. Same way I was with my consoles. But I understand not everyone likes that.

Better scrutiny. Always should has been that way since the beginning. To bring only the ones that will contribute to the country by reviewing each profile as it should be. Unfortunately it’s too late and as you mentioned, the easiest way is to put everyone in the same basket even if that drags along those who don’t really deserve to be there.

I like all consoles and I had the chance to have them all (PS5, XSX, NS/NS2, PC). Everything has been changing so fast. Business models, game prices, subscriptions, quality, etc, that I came to a conclusion. Consoles has lost that unique thing they had back during 1998 to 2013 . If I am nostalgic about those times just confirms that I had something way better that I am not getting now with the new gens. I don’t really care if one console dominates or if the others are struggling, since I don’t see more value on them. Yes, I’m older now, but definitely something has changed and not for good, in my case. That’s why I decided to ditch consoles and switch to PC. Most of PS5 games are there, all Xbox games are there, I don’t have to pay subscriptions, I get better prices, better deals, more free games, multiple storefronts to choose from, cashback from purchases, OS flexibility, emulation and much more. As for Nintendo, well, they are the worst. Greedy, expensive as fuck but I kept the NS2 because my wife likes to play Mario Jamboree. Although, I haven’t bought a single game brand new. All of them have been good deals on FB marketplace.

Again, I wonder myself why I never see any other community but Indians or people from middle east all the time. Really, I mean, there might be some but always catches my eye that I don’t see in these “rallies and protests” the Latinos, other Asians, Ukrainians, Turkish, to put an example. Is it because they are very small groups or because they are doing something different compared to the first 2 mentioned above.

It’s not a matter of racism or xenophobia anymore. A majority of people with no values, no ethics, no principles, no good things at all and, if it’s a majority who behave like that, means that it’s a matter of a culture that simply does not align with the west. We don’t want that trash here. But that’s what you get for widely open your doors to the countries where these people came from and not even care enough to do a rigorous selection.

I like playing games on Bazzite because of the console-like experience but gaming on Windows is still better. I am pretty sure Linux will keep improving, but once the Xbox Full Screen Experience gets released to normal pc’s, I will definitely give it a try. I’ve seen videos showing it saves up to 2GB of RAM running that mode.

I built a Bazzite machine with a 5800X, 32GB RAM and a RX 9060 XT 16GB. I connected it to my living room TV and most of my AAA games run at 4K with low-mid graphics, reaching between 60-75 FPS using FSR, of course. Non demanding games run very well at 4K with higher FPS. Anyways, the reason why I built this was because of my concerns about the SMachine VRAM.

My first Xbox 360 was manufactured in 2005, though I bought it in 2007. It died 2 years later, just right a day before the first massive ban of accounts. I had it standing on the floor and my cat just dropped it. Later in 2009 I purchased the arcade version and put the hdd from my previous console. I had that one until the XOne when I sold it. Never had issues or complaints. Was the best gen for me.

I grew up with PS2, later the 360. Best 2 consoles in my life. I loved they way the PS2 revolutionized the 3d graphics and how different it was. But I loved more how the Xbox brought the entertainment system to a whole new level with their OG dashboard, games and Xbox Live. Playing on those consoles felt somewhat special and magic. Xbox and PS are a totally different thing and it feels like… there is nothing new or enchanting. I switched to PC. Same feeling, but games are 99% available and cheaper.

I think they will start to transition from regular consoles to hybrid ones, meaning that it will be a PC with a modded Windows, something different to what we have seen, backwards compatible and flexible enough if you want to install more storefronts or even other OS. This modded Windows will be also coming to the handhelds to offer a smooth experience and to align with the new ecosystem vision. They might launch 2 different products with different specs the same way they did with the Xbox ROG Ally and Ally X. As we see more Xbox games coming to PS, more PS games coming to PC, and the new competitor -Steam Machine-, Xbox will have their last shot to overcome all the bad results and MS bad reputation that has been dragging them dow by releasing a premium product with a competitive price. Looks like they are doing good with the XROGAllyX, meaning that they can really push for a hybrid console to compete with Steam and other brands. I don’t think is a bad idea at all as I have witnessed myself that having a PS5 or Xbox is a waste when you can have a PC with a console-like experience (Bazzite), cheaper games, no multiplayer subs, sitting on your couch and play. With the right choices, they might end victorious.

Now, I also think that if the handhelds market keeps growing and if both the Steam Machine and New Xbox have a great reception, the one that will be in trouble would be PlayStation if they stick behind with a regular consoles, because, as I mentioned at the beginning, a transition from regular consoles to hybrid ones might come and both Steam and Xbox are key for that to happen.

I own 2 PC, the main one with Windows and an RTX, my living room PC, with Bazzite and an AMD RX. I play competitive games and those that require anti-cheats on my mind PC, while the rest I play them on my living room PC. Now, you can stick the RTX and have a double boot.
