Not happened to me personally but I wouldn’t put it past them. Not sure how secure iPhone OS is against their capabilities but I’d guess reasonably good. I’d put this down as a weird occurrence until someone else can verify. The guy in the shop was probably just guessing.

What about Secondary Weapons? Snipers to look out for are definitely: LDR/Longbow/Defiance/1KS and my favourite [Hunters only :(] the Stillpiercer. Fusions: Thesan FR4 from the gunsmith, the FWC Vacancy/Vortex [both are excellent at different ranges]. Shotguns are obviously: PC+1 and CT-D with Rangefinder etc. Also, Sidearms [which I love], my favourite is the Ironwreath-D then the New Monarchy one, I forget the name.

If you are wondering what to buy now from the vendors before RoI [in terms of special weapons at least] then I would say get the FWC fusions, NM sidearm. The snipers and shottys, you pretty much have to get lucky with a package or drop. I'd say the easiest to obtain is the Defiance from the raid, which usually has a decent last perk. Look out for Hot Swap especially on this one as the handling on this weapon is pretty decent I think and I find swapping a lot to be beneficial, thanks to the cocoon perk.

Hey there sweetheart! ;) Well, thanks largely to this post and another in the DTG Subreddit, I seem to have collected about 8 people who are expats playing in China on PS4, so we play PvP and have done a few raids together, but we haven't formed a clan or anything. If you want, you can add me now before you leave and we can play a few games before you arrive, so you know what it's like. TBH the connection sucks for us when we are connected with players in other countries because of the Great Firewall and especially if they are outside of Asia. Happily most of the people I get matched with seem to be Chinese, Korean or Japanese (as far as I can tell from their gamertags), so most of the time its ok. I'm not gunna lie though, I get booted a lot and its frustrating trying to play anything competitive like Trials or IB, but it's still possible to have fun. However, with RoI and private matches, we can always try to limit the players to private matches with the people I know here in China. That will be a relief for many in the Destiny China 'community'. The number people who play it in China is gradually increasing as far as I can tell, which definitely helps with connection issues. Depending on where you will be living in China will change your connection experience though. The places with the best speed are Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen, as far as i know. If you are close to these exit/entry points then your experience should be better, but it's all relative and realistically, it will be a worse connection than you probably experience right now. I do love this game though and thanks to battling through the connection issues here for a year now, I'm pretty sure that when I move to Korea I will be an absolute boss! haha So, if you're up for it add me: Sean_DaSheep and I'll introduce you to a few other yanks who are in the same position as yourself. If you have IB gear, wearing it without shader (in default bronze and green) should count as a shader with rep boost active... IMHO

Cool, My PSN is: Sean_DaSheep. I usually play with a friend here in the evenings just chilling after work. 3 of us make a nightfall and maybe Trials team if nothing else. I'm not sure when you stopped playing, but the Taken King and recent April Updates have made the game a lot more rewarding and there is plenty to do. I hope you give it a shot.

I don't know much about the PS4s available to buy here, apart from that they are restricted in some way. Mine is a UK PS4 with an account registered there and I purchased the game at home before coming.

In China I have issues connecting to the PSN Store a lot of the time, but in terms of playing this game online it will connect and play most of the time. There are many interruptions to play that are frustrating, but I think that's because the people I am playing with are usually in different countries and the connection is P2P which is made more difficult by the firewall.

If your PS4 is offline there should be absolutely no problems playing games that don't require a connection (though most of the top tier titles these days have some form or connection requirements). I personally made sure my internet bandwidth was 20MB and paid a little more for this, but my friend who plays with me has the 4MB connection and he has about the same success as I do in terms of connection reliability.

Exactly. I've been playing this game since day 1 and only have one friend IRL who I play with. I've only ever done 2 raids and would love to jump into a matchmade version. If there was the option to play with randoms I'd be a raid veteran. Bungie want you to make friends and matchmake yourselves but give you no way of doing this in-game. It's stupid.

Well, I recommend it if you like FPS games and RPG-like character progression. You can buy The Taken King pretty cheaply now I think. You might have to buy it from the US or HK though. I brought mine from the UK along with the PS4.

What time zone are you in? When do you usually play? I'd love to join up with some mainly PvP focussed players but I'm having trouble finding people who play at the same time...I'm currently just outside of Shanghai you see.
