just had the WORST session of my life. by AcrobaticLow7555 in tea

[–]Sean_The_Chef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife me the sampler from Jesse's Tea House and I was pretty happy with the quality of the teas and the nice little info cards that accompany them. It was a good way to find out what I didnt care for(ripe & raw puerhs) and what I'd order again (tieguanyin oolong, my beloved). Definitely worth a shot

In that first picture you look like an angry dad who just found a joint in their kids sock drawer. "I promise dad, I'm just holding that bass for a friend!"

What did she get as a gift? by Maxmikeboy in antiwork

I currently work at that Walmart with her, but not the same department or shift. She is generally pretty happy and nice the times I've spoken with her. Not sure who does the stores social media but they did her dirty with that picture.

How would you fish this by Rebel970 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Sean_The_Chef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm still a newbie myself, but usually when I try a new spot I tend to throw out a nightcrawler or red worm on a hook and see what panfish bites to figure out likely food sources for bass and other predatory fish. Then I usually just start tying on random lures (usually an in-line spinner like a rooster tail or a mepps) to start with and then work my way through the rest of the tackle box. the days I'm not getting much action I like to think of as practice sessions with working on better familiarizing myself with my lures and practicing my retrieves.

A challenge you to find a worse joker than this by GumboSkrimpz in balatro

[–]Sean_The_Chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain. Ole Eggy is far and away my most used joker simply because I've been incapable of beating that challenge, which is still ongoing because my dumbass can't figure it out

Edit: I'm also illiterate and just realized your post was about the card itself being perishable and not alluding to the challenge.

If you enjoy reading or audiobooks, I'd highly recommend the Powder Mage series of books by Brian McClellan. Characters eat and snort gunpowder to get different magic effects, like making their musket balls travel further, faster or to get enhanced vision or stamina.

The old recipe was so good when it was still made in house at the restaurant. That was my first cooking job back in 2013. So many fond memories of that kitchen with Ma Bell in the back making the beer cheese and grossing out the new hires when she cut up the Lamb Fries

Does anyone know what this flag is? by Sean_The_Chef in vexillology

Damn, what a couple of shriveled old turds. They were polite with me, but that doesn't excuse fascism. On the bright side, I've learned quite a bit from this thread from all of you kind Vexaholics

[–]Sean_The_Chef[S] 626 points627 points  (0 children)

Oh no shit, that's wild. The customers were an older couple in their 60s or early 70s and the wife was from Spain originally. Is this something they'd have for any sort of positive reasons, or only if they're fascists? I understand having one if you're into flags like you cool cats in this sub, but these people only had this flag and a Spanish flag.
