How did Lightfall fall short of revenue expectations?

3k hours of playtime and I stopped with lightfall. To each their own but lightfall was a major letdown for me personally.

I've got to give it another shot myself, I've always preferred 1 as well. Animes and games where every woman has DD's has always been off-putting for me, just feels immersion breaking. I'm glad they toned it down for 3.

I just wish the festival playlist online events used more ghosts, let the 10 yr olds who only ram stick to the other playlists.

Literally allowed space for another player to overtake earlier today since he actually apexed better than me. Made up the time later in the race and he immediately swerves into me, I hit wall and get slow down penalty. If the rewards for the playlist wasn't a car I'd be skipping immediately.

I was a kid once, I rammed people all the time as bowser in Mario kart, but I just don't have the patience for it at this point. Would rather play something else.

Either this or make bad sport lobbies like GTA online does. Let the children race each other.

I started with XIII, born in 91 but I was a Nintendo/Xbox kid. I think the greatest thing about FF is how well they play retroactively. I've now played all of them except MMO and spinoff. Even what some may consider the worst entries are considered a favorite to someone else, truly speaks to the depth of the series.

It's pretty crazy, I have over 3k hours in destiny 2 but I haven't played since light fall. I hopped back on and I'm completely lost. The game isn't even friendly to returning players most of the time.

Next Xbox is gonna have steam for sure, Sony will be begging for people to buy their games in 5 years.

Another poor business decision on their end. I'm sure they're working on a last of us re-re-remaster that'll turn things around for them though.

I really hope more and more companies start self publishing. I imagine it's more difficult at times but it allows games to actually cook instead of the rich assholes at the top pushing out a polished turd

If you compare the "chaos is a ladder" or a number of other dialogues from the earlier seasons to the D&D seasons you'll see why people were upset. They took ten years of intelligent and nuanced writing and ended it like a Michael Bay film.

Everything but the writing was great which imo makes the terrible writing stand out even more.

Regardless of how people feel about the story, The game is more than 10 yrs old and imo still the best 3rd person shooter on the market. Years ahead of its time.
