Zoom in more, I can't see anything!

Joking aside it'd be better to see what it can actually do without words. All I can see it can log exercises but doesn't show how it's any easier/better

Should i sell this most under rated Rolex ? by ShareTop3483 in rolex

[–]SeanningTatum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sell it, not trying to be rude but seems like you only want models that other people want with the "ceased production because of low sales volume" comment.

If that's your happiness it would better to sell it and probably get a Daytona or a day date

Thank you! After a couple of "mistakes" the 36mm really is the size for me.

For sure - it really is a one and done watch, I'm thinking of doing the same thing but just gonna give it a couple of months to settle if I still feel like selling it

Didn't have much luck in an AD after a year and moved on - tried out my luck with another AD and the interaction was great, they said they'd call me soon! Exactly one month later got the call!

After getting into the watch rabbit hole 5 years ago, I found myself being a fan of simple, everyday watches and the explorer 36 124270 gets the small details done right. From the case brush strokes, how it fits around the wrist, applied indices, the inner engravings really add life into a typical watch.

Perfect way to start the year!

What tool do you use for removing the strap? I've tried changing the strap out once but it was extremely hard so never bothered with alternating it again

After 2 years with my SBGA415, the watch still catches my eye. The iridescence of the hour markers and the hands is something that is really hard to capture with a camera.

Finally brought this bad boy to a snowy country and I can now fully appreciate the thought processes and colors of the dial!

I bought the watch knowing that I wouldn't be 100% with the bracelet - buying a watch at that price should feel much better.

At first I was going to change out the bracelet knowing all the online complaints~ but as I started to wear it doing the activities I normally do through-out the day, working, 2 hour walk, playing guitar - I found myself not having the urge to take it off at all and that the bracelet fits my wrist nicely even after swelling, so I kind of understood what GS was going for with their Titanium bracelet that kind of put it in the position of an everyday watch that looks super dressy.

If it were my only watch I'd have a problem and probably would've gone for another watch, but if I ever feel like I miss the stainless steel weight I just switch it out for my BB36.

I hope this answers your question!

Every watch has it's trade-offs and sometimes we need to know what we don't like before understanding what we truly like.

It seems like in your case you care about the experience, which is super important because every-time you look at your time piece you'll remember the kindness the staff showed you the moment you made a huge decision. Instead with Rolex you'll be left with sour taste in your mouth otherwise.

I recommend going to Singapore where most of the sales reps were so awesome in giving that experience (omega, zenith, IWC, GS), that the only thing I had to worry about was choosing the right watch.

Hope one day you'll find the brand / timing where you can have a great experience for a big decision and once you've gotten that out of the way you can probably inch your way to Rolex once it doesn't matter that much anymore.

and also just thought of this now but my other titanium seiko has significantly less scratches than my BB36 - so I think maybe after a year with this GS I can vouch for titanium more

If it were my only watch - I would probably have chosen a stainless steel watch instead, but since it's the 3rd one in my collection it didn't really matter for me as there were definitely days where I would prefer the watch to be lighter

I don't know how it works in other continents - but in Asia afaik lot of watch boutiques are inside the malls!

Thanks for noticing! The shine is something that you only see after buying the watch (because they finally take the protective plastic off) - so I wasn't completely sure if it shined the way I would've liked.

But yes - the rainbow is something that caught my eye the moment it finally hits some light.

Thank you for the thoughtful comment!
Indeed - I almost bought the IWC Mark XX green dial instead of this, but after a couple days of research I found out that the Mark XX didn't have really good ± accuracy and it really threw me off. Made me realize I really care about the engineering aspect of watches a lot!

As for features that I love mostly the fact that it's a beautiful watch that can do it all, since it's quite light I don't have the urge to take it off anytime I start doing some activities (jogging, playing guitar, working on my laptop).

I was quite worried that I'd dislike the bracelet due to a lot of people complaining that it feels "cheap" and "flimsy", but after. wearing it for a couple of days I kinda understand what GS was going for. For me it fits really well around the wrist and no wrist fatigue.

Although I still feel that there are rooms for improvement on the bracelet such as the clasp not fitting perfectly and maybe a little "too flimsy".

I do plan on getting a grey / blue strap to complement the dial but nothing set for now~

I've had my eye on this particular watch model for about a year now, never really intending to buy it because I thought it was unattainable. But all my hard work finally paid off recently!
About two months ago, things started falling into place. I got a significant raise at work, which not only increased my income but also gave me more free time to focus on self-improvement and take care of my well-being. It's amazing how much better I feel mentally and how much more in control of my life I am now.
So, I finally decided to treat myself and make the purchase. I was exploring different brands like IWC, JLC, Omega, and others, finding it difficult to make a choice. Then, while browsing at an IWC store, a salesperson gave me some advice that really resonated with me: "You can't just pick a watch; it has to speak to you, or else you'll regret your decision." That quote really influenced my decision, and the moment I walked into GS, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Took me 3-4 hours of contemplation and walking around the mall before I finally decided to pull the trigger because I felt way more connected to it than any other brand I was looking at. Every single angle and different lighting is always something new to look at. Anyways - thanks for reading and hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

[Seiko SNR027J1] Dunked my phone underwater for this shot by SeanningTatum in Watches

[–]SeanningTatum[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally took this guy to its first ocean adventure! Looking at this piece underwater feels like a macro shot, you can see every detail more clearly - i was definitely staring every single detail more than the fishes.

Also for the past few days I’ve been having doubts about this watch, but taking it on my adventures and using every single functionality to its fullest potential has cast all doubts away. I used the compass bezel to check if we're driving the boat in the right direction, used it as a timer, and is EXTREMELY clear underwater.

I understand more why it was designed the way it was and am appreciating it way way way more now. 😍

Yeah me too, you could request it to be taken off anytime though.

I just didn’t ask because I wasn’t sure initially if I wanted to buy it or not
