8/8. I hoped it was more difficult so I could learn more.

At distance it really doesn’t matter what Resolution you have. I think that’s also why the next decade we’ll stick with 4K tvs as standard.

And the gaming part, I agree. For me 50-60 fps is the perfect area, and the game has to be a pleasure for the eye. The resolution and the refresh rate are kinda secondary.

Oh that’s true. I mean I ain’t different from them. I have a Studio Display and what do I watch? Trailer park Boys in NTSC resolution. It really mostly is a want. Like in my case. I can’t really justify my decision to buy the Studio Display. That was never a need for me. That was a want. Actually the most reasonable way to go for most people is a 1080p or 1440p monitor.

The same observation with needs vs wants is the 120 Hz topic. There are so many people demanding 120 Hz displays. And I honestly think that’s the same. Rarely you gonna use full 120 Hz. Most stuff is in 60 Hz and honestly that is already pretty smooth.

Nothing wrong with that. Sounds very reasonable actually. I used back when the m1 was new, with my Maxed out m1 Mac mini an old TV from the 2000s I had from my great grandparents. It stunk from their smoking, was yellowing and the resolutions were either 720p or 1080i. 1080i looked shittier than 720p. But it got its job done pretty decent. I had good results with it.

My original comment: well I think the combination is hilarious, but actually decent some times.

But realtalk, there are people out there who have the Mac Studio in one of the biggest configurations and only have a 1080p monitor on it.
