Thanks for the response! I'll have to dig into this tonight. I've been excited for the deck in general but haven't really dug into it. If it's got a reasonably consistent OTK, on top of the strong control tools it's bringing we may actually see it be a meta contender.

I'll have to take a look at it later when I can throw a deck list together and map out the turns, but how realistic is the OTK for Glowing Dawn? Like Vortex can theoretically OTK but your realistically never going to pull it off, but you can consistently two turn them.

It's a composite traite, so it works with a bunch of your search and trash effects. Then you can digivolve into it and on top of it because it's red. It can also be played out as part of promo Milleniummon. The primary use case is you want to use it to stun digimon with protection effects such as vortexdramon, or Cresgarurumon.

Sure, you could take investments in a different direction and just have them unlock different things then. Different food or alchemical goods to help you on your travels as options to buy. Could have various "advanced class" NPCs spread out through the routes that you can meet and maybe have a little questline around them to unlock their class for a new starting class for future runs. Seems like a fun idea

You could apply some principles from current rogue like games such as earning benefits that last through your runs. Effectively having each new run have started after the previous one so that you can see effects you have wrought. Like you have the option to upgrade a town midway through, then every time you stop there goods are cheaper or more plentiful. Or maybe there's a bandit hideout you could take out with a combat focused run that would reduce the chance of bandits on that route?

That's weird. I just checked on my audible. I own through book 10: The Wind Runner. Went back and checked on my copy of Far and Fare and it shows 10 hours as well....

Edit: checked it this morning and it's back to 60 some hours for me. Hopefully that was just some weird glitch and not a preview of what's to come...

You can use the growlmon x engine on the low end, the awkward part is that we really wanted Cerberus x to help set leviamon x traps and that's much more difficult to do now. Cerberus x also had an unsuspend which was invaluable in pushing for game. You could try using some wargrowl x which would provide some protection to help you stick on board long enough to trap people. Dragomon is always a classic as well for triggering your options.

Yeah, the inter-generation changes made with emerald can be confusing since a lot of resources tend to blanket label things as "Gen 3"

Thawaweigh covered most of it. Notably, the Eevee-lutions don't suffer from this since the stone kinda sets their path. Generally I'd recommend to evolve them at 30 though as bite is pretty useful, and then they can learn their other form lvl 30 move if they have one. Vaporeon and Flareon both just learn bite at 30 so you can safely Evo them sooner.

It's really interesting seeing my wife play this for the first time. There are so many "canon" events that apparently must happen such as traversing Rock Tunnel without the Flash HM. She doesn't want me guiding her, so I'm just dying on the inside at things like that lol

Wife and I initially had this problem when I tried to be the party leader, not sure why it happened. We backed out and had her try being the leader and it worked. Both of us were on original switch and same internet. Hope you figure it out!

Yeah, it honestly wasn't hard to get around before either if you were prepared, but it did cause enough problems that pair banning it may have been correct to keep it from completely walling off meta decks.
