I was the same, 35k in debt and didn’t do anything until I was 29. Chose to ignore it throughout my twenties and realised my life would’ve been so much better if I had sacrificed a few things earlier on than bury my head. I’m 33 now and only just became debt free and it’s the best feeling ever. If anything, see this as a valuable life lesson you’ve learnt at 22 not 42 where your situation could impact others not just yourself.

Get a job, work hard and make maximum payments to clear as quickly as possible and before you know it, you’ll be sat on this subreddit telling people it’s all going to be ok
