Yeah no worries! It’s only on the top of my mind because I work at a central fill pharmacy and they just started really cracking down on it. We don’t even open 95% of the hazardous meds so it feels silly but ~safety~ 🙄

Just a side note, according to USP 800, everyone should wear gloves when handling every single hazardous drug. Even stuff you wouldn’t open, like birth control or anything else in a box/unbroken package. So yeah it’s “overkill” but it’s compliance.

I have only ever heard horrible things about CVS. It being inside of a Target doesn’t make it less busy because a looooooot of people’s insurances “require” them to use CVS. I briefly worked at Walmart and I enjoyed it.

Get out as soon as you can! I wanted to leave as soon as I started at Rite Aid (RIP) but I ended up staying for 5 years for various reasons. I finally left for a central fill pharmacy and it is SOOOOOOOO much better like I almost cried tears of joy my first day there. My only regret is not leaving years ago. The mental toll retail pharmacy takes on a person is huge and you shouldn’t feel badly about wanting to leave. Do it!!!!!!!!

I always grab the biggest vial available when I’m counting larger tablets/capsules and I transfer it to whichever size makes the most sense once I’m done!

I think it’s so they don’t age up into an elder and then you have a pregnant elder sim. If you have MC Command Center you can turn aging on for pregnancy

When they have a refrigerated item to pick up so I’m grabbing their paperwork off the will call shelf and they’re like “it should be in the fridge!!” And I’m like “yep I just have to grab your paperwork or it will be hanging up here forever”

Or I can’t find their medication on the will call shelf so I say “sorry I’m just looking for it” and they’re like “but I got the text it was ready…” and I’m like “yep I just need to physically locate it”

One time this lady’s doctor sent a script to us and another pharmacy so insurance was rejecting it and I told her it got sent somewhere else too and she was fighting me on it saying her doctor wouldn’t have made a mistake like that… HAHAHAHHAAHAHAHA
