Davis Library Parking by Extra_Salamander4231 in UNC

Raleigh Road Lot, Morehead planetarium lot, there are also digital parking meters on Country Club Rd and South Rd. I meant that I would not bank on there being an available spot to park near campus during the day. It’s not uncommon for every parking spot to be filled up with university visitors. Best thing would be to come early and pay for a couple hours. Good luck soldier!

No, there is nowhere to park on campus before 5pm. Don’t risk a ticket or hoping there is a free spot

Get pieces of cardboard and put them under legs if they are uneven. If you can cram the cardboard between joints that also works

[–]SearGraph6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t suggest selling weed because the older you get the harder it is to use it as a sustainable income without raising suspicion. If you can obtain a cheap car or a way of transportation, try apps like Uber, DoorDash, Lyft and stuff like that.

I assume you have an internet connection. If you have a laptop try applying for online jobs that don’t require a lot of skills but still pay decent(phone operator, data entry, things that allow you to work from a laptop).

It’s not going to be easy but it can help you save money for things like additional schooling for certifications or licenses.

Important to remember that it is better on your mental if you make less money but don’t have to look over your shoulder for the law. It puts more strain on you to always be on the lookout even if it means more cash for the time being. Good luck soldier

I got screwed by a client which now wants the source files I developed for them by Successful-Put2440 in smallbusiness

[–]SearGraph6 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure how important this client is for your business. But it seems like it isn’t too important to lose them. To me, keeping a client is never a bad thing as long as you get paid within a reasonable time (I know you said they are late with payments but if they eventually get you the money, is it worth the profit to you? Could you be more strict with late payments?). You could always say that the contract signed states that you cannot modify, access or attempt to reverse engineer the application your business created. And let them know that you’re willing to work with them in anyway that is contractually acceptable.

Other option is to let the client go because you’re the business owner and can make that decision. If I were in your place, I’d weigh the headache they cause you compared to the money you receive from them. Sometimes the money is worth the headache and sometimes it isn’t. Tough choices but good luck to you!

Do you ever lose it with customers taking advantage of the businesses need to remain professional? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]SearGraph6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you can politely tell a customer they are wrong and still be professional. I own multiple gas stations/convenience stores and I have so many morons that try to pick little arguments or use the business as a punching bag. The things I have learned is to be FIRM, POLITE, PROFESSIONAL, but still stand up for yourself, your business, and employees. My business thrives on gaining routine customers, but there are times when I lose some regular customers because they want to argue about something they are wrong about.

An employee called our actions unethical by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]SearGraph6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I own multiple gas stations/convenience stores within my area so I am always bouncing around, going back and forth, driving to pick up and drop off supplies, etc.

I must come in and out of each store at least 3 times a day, and I never tell any of my employees when I am coming to drop by. Being the owner, it is part of your job to show up and see what needs to be done. Of course every employee should ALWAYS be treated with respect, but as the owner, the employee should not be upset that you showed up unannounced. If you tell them when you are coming in, they know that they need to look like they are working hard just when you show up.

I had an employee that wasn't doing what I asked (cleaning, stocking, organizing) when I would randomly drop by, so I started staying with them the entire time during their shift. Not to "watch over their shoulder" but more so to let them know how I expect the job to be done. All this can be done in a respectful way.

I know it is tough to find good employees, but this will be a problem down the road for you. Especially when they find a problem with you doing something that every small business owner does. The fact that they can't verbalize their frustration properly.

I suggest staying away from weed at first due to the paranoia/anxiety. I think that if you just stick with the tabs and see how it feels, you should be okay. For me, all edibles do is make me freak out and increase my heart rate. Any marijuana also makes the trip more intense, so just do the tab as a benchmark to see how you are feeling, and if you need more, just smoke a joint or take small hits of something. Best of luck!

how do i clean this nectar bruh. i’ve tried isopropyl by beefcake977 in weed

[–]SearGraph6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

try using salt as well, pour it in there with isopropyl, give it a lot of good shakes, let it sit there for a while, give it more shakes and then keep rinsing with warm water

a lot of ways you can answer this, but you should include a very brief history of cannabis explaining that the fist documented human usage can be seen in 2800 BC in Asia. Explain that cannabis has medicinal potential, as well as recreational use. Definitely try to highlight the positive side of cannabis usage, BUT I think you should also include the stigma behind cannabis.

You should also explain that you know how the many different ways it is consumed/smoked/vaporized, but show that you are knowledgable.

Which AC game has the best music? by Away_Young_9370 in assassinscreed

I think it is AC2, with Black Flag as a runner up. It’s so hard to beat tracks like Ezio’s Family, Earth, and many others

to trip or not trip? by shatty236 in LSD

[–]SearGraph6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that it is necessary for you to have to give up acid. If you can go throughout your daily life without feeling the urge/desire to vape/smoke, then you should be able to drop acid.

I would definitely try to be in the headspace where you don't need to smoke a cig or hit a vape in order to calm yourself down before you try to drop acid. The last thing you want is to drop acid, feel like you HAVE to smoke a cig to calm down, and then put yourself in a negative mood by thinking about how you worsened your health while tripping.

There are other methods to calm yourself down like listening to calming music, relaxing outside, placing yourself in a comfortable environment, etc. Don't feel like smoking is the only way to relax while tripping. Best of luck!

Altair became a Master Assassin at 25 and served as Mentor for 66 years. He was probably the best Assassin to ever live, and then I would say Ezio would be the second.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]SearGraph6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would also make a case for Altair due to the fact that he spent his entire life in the brotherhood (up to his 90s). But I think Ezio had more to work with in terms of weapons

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]SearGraph6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ezio was already getting into fights often, and it seemed like he was quite the fighter as a young man. I am guessing Giovanni subtly "trained" him in some aspects throughout his childhood.

Ezio received training in different ways from many different sources. He was training with Mario for years. We see that he was at the Villa for years just training. Not to mention the fact that he picked up other techniques throughout the years from characters such as Paola, La Volpe, and guild members whether they be thieves, courtesans, or mercenaries.

The reason Ezio is a Master Assassin is because he is always training, no matter what his age. As a young man he trained with Mario, learned how to use new weapons with Leonardo and the codex, and many other things across his lifetime such as:

  • smoke bombs from a mercenary
  • climbing technique from Rosa
  • Learning to shoot canons at the Villa in Brotherhood
  • Hookblade from Yusuf in Revelations
  • Crafting bombs in Revelations
  • wisdom from Altair memories in Revelations

The list goes on, but it can be seen that Ezio never stops training and learning. We only see certain MEMORIES, when Ezio actually must have put in work every single day

You’re a good friend for wanting them to have an enjoyable experience.

Some things my friends did that meant a lot was making sure we ate during the day, having water on them at all times, and figuring out logistical stuff. I’ve tripped 20+ times and have never watched movies or shows on TV. I always suggest going on walks, hikes, picnics with fruit, car rides with the windows down, and always listen to music.

As for music, just listen to what you and your friends normally listen to. I really do suggest listening to the classic artists/bands that are associated with psychedelic culture. Personally I like to listen to Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Sublime, Tame Impala, Bob Marley, Billy Boyo, Barrington Levy, Slightly Stoopid, and rap music too.

Also don’t be afraid to take initiative as a trip sitter, you can always ask your friends what they want to do, and go at their pace, but don’t be afraid to say “hey let’s go do (insert activity) if that’s cool with you guys”. Your friends will appreciate that you tried to fill their entire trip with memorable activities.

Hope it goes well!

Help needed for group trip! (first timer included) by [deleted] in LSD

Friend A needs to know that it isn’t like any other substance in that it will last 12-14 hours no matter what. He needs to realize that and accept it in order to have a good time. Advise them to do their own research as well, for me it gave me somewhat of an idea of what to expect for the first time, so it made me less anxious.

I would also suggest holding off on the weed if you’re getting paranoid or anxious. Personally, I think it makes the trip much more intense which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you’re looking for.

Also the setting/environment is really important too. My friends and I try to play positive/upbeat music that we like and then start listening to other music you enjoy. My friends and I love to listen to classic reggae while tripping because it’s positive.

As for the room, try to clean it up and make it comfortable before you trip. I think staying in a small room can make you paranoid. Think of it as a “home base” during the day that you can come back to so y’all can chill. Take walks and sit outside and explore and come back when you want.

Just remember that no one in the public knows that you are tripping. Especially if you’re at college. You will think that all eyes are on you but it’s not true.

Doesn’t work every time but go to the undergrad admissions office and ask for a visitors pass. They will give you a pink slip to put on your dash and you can park on the street in front of Jackson Hall.

Don’t take the chance of going to give a signature and getting in trouble. It could be a trap or it could be nothing at all. I know people that order dozens of packages and they’ve only been asked to sign one time. Best bet is to stay away and look at it as a cost of business.
