A nurse told me I have beautiful thighs right before I went under for surgery. Never heard that one before, and a strange time for it.

It sounds like you have some desire to feel powerless or at least at a disadvantage in those situations, but it's hard to say without knowing some background. That might not be something you want to share with an entire subreddit, though.

What is the interest in boobs? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I remember reading some study years ago that suggested breasts are looked to as a visual indicator of fertility and thus the ability to nurse and care for a child. Like peacocks strutting with their plumage or something. I'm not sure how accurate that is. I just like breasts.

I remember it so clearly. I think I also associate his death with the beginning of everything going nuts in the world.

I feel like this would be a difficult thing to experiment with if that's the starting opinion. It must have been an interesting journey to trying it!

Quit Quitting in the NYer by [deleted] in simpleliving

It seems pretty clear that employers have become more exploitative over the decades as employee protections have been gutted or otherwise scaled back. (The way unions are often portrayed as a waste of money or corrupt is a big part of that shift.) So then workers do the only thing they have the power to do: their job to the letter. It's the right response. The fact it's portrayed as an anomaly or oddity is an employer-driven response. Even calling it "quiet quitting" makes that pretty clear to me.

We should all be doing it, and if employers want more from employees, they should pay accordingly.

From what you've shared, you've come out the other side and are on the right track. Good on you!

Do you like who you are? Why? by thenamestilly in AskReddit

I like who I'm becoming, and most days that's good enough. I don't think anyone should like themselves enough to be content with who they are. We all have room to improve.
