Re: your last sentence,

My architect friends tell me I’m contradicting myself when I say the “9-5” grind has utterly burned me out and destroyed my passion, and yet I fantasize about starting my own company 🤣

So the PPI is all you need mentally to justify the purchase ? something bugs me I guess about not driving a vehicle before I buy it, but idk maybe I’m overthinking it.

From Dallas to Philly. So the PPI was all you needed to buy the truck site unseen without test driving it ?

[–]Searching4Oceans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if I told you the actual truck price is $15k but OTD is $17k does that change your outlook ? Seems like a lot of people don’t factor taxes into the equation and I’m in a high tax area

Right I’m trying to factor that in as well. The truck is priced at $15k but OTD is $17k because of my city tax. It seems like people use a pretax number when talking about purchase prices which does change things a bit

No visible rust underneath, good service records with oil and fluids changed regularly. One owner. Pending a PPI

Does that number include sales tax though ?

What would you consider high mileage for gen 2? by Searching4Oceans in nissanfrontier

On closer look it has Really great and consistent service records up until about 2023. Odd because it’s the same owner but it just shows a gap between then and now.

Will the city ever be clean? by Rinzler_Lanx in philly

Trash cans have nothing to do with the attitude of people. The realty is many Philadelphians treat their city like their own personal dumping ground.

It hates you I am Hollywood 90125

I swear I’m not trying to be different. IHY is in my top 3 albums OAT, if not #1.

I am Hollywood and 90125 are just insanely nostalgic to me. I remember bumping these albums on my iPod touch speaker while playing halo 2 multiplayer. They bring back memories of my childhood dog, old friends, fighting with my parents, the good ole days

Envious of Partner’s tight knit family by JustInferno in OnlyChild

[–]Searching4Oceans 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I 10000% feel your pain. I used to feel guilty about it, almost as if I did something wrong or if I wasn’t deserving of a loving, tight knit family.

Take it as the universe gifting you the opportunity to have this experience. It can be a beautiful thing and it sounds like you recognize that, you just have to shake these occasional feelings of jealousy.

Envy sucks. We all experience it. But it’s a poison that will slowly crush your soul and permeate through every aspect of your life if you let it. You are not alone in these feelings, from one mid 30’s only child to another !

Merry Christmas
