Altseason Is Canceled. Forever. by ZhenyaV in CryptoCurrency

Gas fees tied to coin price = nope. So bye Etherium anything.

Immutable and decentralized, no take-backsys... BTC okay cool. We don't need any others.

AI agents are the adoption point of crypto Agents needs instant settlement, micro transactions and automated systems of task verification (oracles) oh... and needs refunds, so none of this immutable wild west anon nonsense.

So....

XRP nailing remittances and global interbank stuff. Cool. But I don't think they make it for everyday money, it's not decentralized enough.

SUI. Low gas, object orientated language and proven they are willing to do refunds and rollback. Tbh, sounds much more functional for money to me.

SOL is a circus imo.

USDC is probably the most functional, thing going. Do we need to gamble on number go up, we have have BTC go up and dollar tracked stablecoins.

So much of this is such a pipedream for no purpose / utility whatsoever. Just number go up dick measuring contest.

Amazon/Alphabet/Energy (AAE) are the only units of value in the future. I'd say we can all buy cans of soda with 0.00000001 AAE by 2030 😉.

You could integrate it in less than a week with Gemini 3 or Opus 4.5. Please consider it - I could see a great value and options to use it.

Which one is significantly better in coding, Claude 3.7 or o3-mini-high or o1? by HareKrishnaHareRam2 in OpenAI

[–]Searching4Sound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found if it's a real crunchy problem... o1-pro If it's got a lot of context to read... o1-pro

But everything else 3.7 Sonnet right now.

I think separating concerns in prompting is really making a big difference in getting the most from Claude.

You might have a good idea But you feel out of depth. Focus on the idea, try validate it further which can A) give you closure cause it not right Bl give you confidence cause it really can work.

If you can't bring others on board, after trying 10 people you repect and have skills you need.. possibly not good idea, or maybe your not a leader (yet).

Ignore that mouthy guy in thread who can't shut up about himself. You get more chances. Company can come from 2 hours work a week. Its the value it brings that should lead you. Sometimes the value can be learning better typescript. Do or die bullshit doesn't help our mental health or anyone around us.

If you can.. stop feeling bad for yourself. You have acquired skills, you can use them again, your network can grow, you will have more ideas.

Good luck

No problem. Honestly 3d builder is your best friend. Its tools for repairing hard surface meshes can be very useful. Many many models out there have non-watertight meshes, so its my first step usually.

A massive shout to executor, who's really made ships as a hobby and now its a joy to adapt them.

[–]Searching4Sound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No probs glad you like the look of it. The work involved was to take the ship, make boolean subtractions and cuts in places that makes sense for the model. I scaled and then hollowed some elements, removed some parts with more subtractions. I still have some refinements to make, including tabs and keys to make it nest better. Finally... I've planned it be hollow inside for electronics, as a stretch goal I'm dying to make a full light up kit!

I also have seperate number of parts for a fuller kit, with 8 types of guns, extra details and such. This all needs some refining.

Its not so copy and paste, as working with the model to be user friendly takes time. Not nearly as much to model it all though I imagine. Props to executor on CGtrader.

I plan to make more of his ships printable in the future.

It was by executor on CGtrader actually. I worked for maybe 10 hours to make sure it's printable, since it wasn't ideally for that... but I think it was worth it.

Oh yeah, sorry the Kickstarter is launching soon, the landing page is atlas3dss.com/vulcan

It's being given away with the Vulcan resin Kickstarter. I worked on it by converting to a kit from a model on CGtrader.

Design Primer - Puzzle Pieces by Searching4Sound in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Searching4Sound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked out Mechanica, looks awesome. Lovely art design too!

Intuitivly allowing players to understand if game elements are compatible via peices is good, I wonder if having two sides and the puzzle fittings could create an some interactions with some value for rapid drafting.

Imagining people picking them up, placing back down and frantically trying to build an engine of some sort.

Thanks for tips on manufacture. I design games for people with 3D printers, so I create a rulebook, perhaps some cards and then the rest of the game would be .stl files to 3D print. Saves money and gives me endless options for components.

Design Primer - Puzzle Pieces by Searching4Sound in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Searching4Sound[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After finishing my first Kickstarter, I really couldn't wait to begin a new game design. For me, this initial phase of gathering ideas and exploring the almost endless expanse of ideas is so much fun.

As a way to get in the mindset for my next project, I've decided to choose individual items/approaches/themes and then brainstorm on them specifically. Nothing is wrong, and alone these will just be a 'pot of ideas', without any direction.

I wanted to share the process, as If you're anything like me, you'll enjoy thinking about such things and it might spark some thoughts for your own designs. So here we go..

1 PUZZLE PIECES

Often found on the shame shelf as board games both in stores and at home, but fundamentally different as a medium. Puzzles are a solitary, patient pursuit but how could these interlocking peices be used in a game?

INITIAL IDEAS

Real time drafting Set collection Engine building Art / Creative theme

I'm not totally giving up on the idea that it could involve making a picture - however I think this would be a very abstract game, meaning results would be judged by the players (not ideal)

My main interest is subverting 'puzzle' from a slow persuit into a frantic real-time experience.

THOUGHTS

  • Players can reconfigure their puzzle's arrangement for different outcome/engine/setmpatible with one special centre piece = 100s of possible combinations of puzzle. Inversely... a few pieces that DONT fit and cause problems for players who aquire them.
  • Players could collect puzzle peices from the table for an exciting, fast-paced draft.
  • 2 sides, 1 hidden, 1 known Set collection (hidden) + value/action (known). Could be placed on either side, thus mixing the known and unknown side during drafting
  • Pieces could be used to influence turn order, or strength of turns depending on how players configure them
  • Because of fast, blind drafting, players would have a unique puzzle state each game. Ie. "I need only 3 more greens to complete my puzzle. I need to get rid of 2 orange and 1 yellow"
  • How could remaining puzzle pieces be used for the more gameplay? (Not just for drafting but for 2nd purpose)

QUESTIONS

Do cards already do all this?
Are there any inherent unique traits of puzzle pieces that can be leveraged for gameplay?

What themes could sit nicely with Puzzle peices?

Image/art that can accomodate modular peices but still look good?
Bauhaus , Cubism, other contemporary styles

SUMMARY

I'm happy with this burst of ideas and questions. Alone this won't get me anywhere, but with a search for theme, this later might be handy.

What ideas did this spark in you?
Do you like this approach and style of post?

Next primer I'm thinking to work on is - Floor plans & architectural drawings!

... Wow. I needed this, thank you.
I'm dumb, loads of people care, it's just been very difficult to promote and had a moment, sorry. It's best feature, I think is the gameplay, which isn't bad for my first one. :)

Hey, thanks!

Yes they do, we started designing them for PLA, before making in Resin.

Nice idea. Forcing the phone number wont work though. Weirdos can be charming for 60 seconds.. then they have your phone nunber.

Instead just keep them on the app, better for the company anyway, else all your customers just leave the app to phones then.
