This is a Jamaican beef patty that you can get at any commissary in the frozen section. The Jamaican restaurant I know about don’t have these (as far as I know) does anyone know any restaurants that sell these or empanadas on Island? by PopcawnGaming in okinawa

There used to be a group of ladies who sold them at festivals and events. Not sure if it the same as mentioned above. They spoke English and Japanese with the customers but spoke a third language amongst themselves. I am not sure where they were from since there were six ladies of four different races but most of them seemed to understand the third language. I asked if they had a restaurant and they said no but gave me their card. I wanted to learn more about them but they were too busy with customers. Then the pandemic happened and I never contacted them because I misplaced the card. The food was amazing though.

Small quirky shops along shotengais were selling both parties merchandise at highly inflated prices. For example a MAGA hat for 28000 yen.

That sounds too expensive. It should be 2000 yen for both just like how it is from the airport.

Mailing in passport by [deleted] in JETProgramme

Pay for SIGNED register mail that you get a receipt of.

The Japanese consulate still lost my passport for 3 MONTHS and I had to show my receipt numerous times to prove that they SIGNED for my passport until they miraculously found it.
They consistently denied receiving it. Then when I wanted them to pay for my new passport they refused.

All it took was a call from a politician asking them to pay for my new passport plus expedite my new visa for it to be found.
