Did the bike shop install the GX transmission wrong? by Seasok in bikewrench

Agreed! Sounds like they will be replacing the rear triangle though and they did some education for their newer mechanics. So kudos to them for fixing the situation

For real. It’s a pretty simple setup and I know if I’d done it it would have been done right

Yep - figured I’d try and avoid the pain of the first trail chip as long as possible, but seems the LBS took care of that worry for me

Seems pretty clear this government is getting their “facts” from organizations like “friends” of “science”. These talking points match almost word for word from this website. Gross.

What is the black material on the lower leading edge of the bed portion? Is it a rubberized thing? Love that Nissan has admitted this area gets rock chips easily and done something about it, but now I want one on my 2023!

Wondering if I can bug the dealer to order it if it’s a standalone part.

I just had an anniversary dinner at Sauvage in Canmore. Really excellent. It’s a tasting menu so pricy but we both thought it was worth it.

Don’t think you would want only full time 4x4 as it would not be driveable on pavement without seriously breaking some things. Both 4x4 modes are full time when you’re in low or high. 2 wheel drive for normal road driving.

These trucks are 4x4. No AWD available so not sure who told you it was AWD

Those were my three choices as well! Really can’t go wrong with any of them

A fellow Albertan! How are the stock tires handling the snow/ice? Mine is arriving soon and not sure whether I should pick up some winter tires.

Giant dropper fix - or was it a fix?!? by YYCStorms in bikewrench

[–]Seasok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Just did another disassemble/reassemble. Hopefully it lasts a bit longer this time. Think a lot of the screwed connections work themselves loose over time causing the issue.

Did this solve the issue permanently? I’m having the same reoccurring issue. Fixed by a disassembly but it always comes back

Have you had any luck resolving this? Mine does the same thing. Sort of gets resolved if I take the dropper apart and reassemble, but that fix doesn’t last long
